What are the symptoms?

All very worrying for people who have not had their engine blow yet. What are the symptoms and what do we look out for? Are their any symptoms? Would it be worth having fitted an oil pressure warning light or gauge. I know the Cougar has or should have an oil light. or isn't there any time to react? These questions can only be answered by someone who has actually had this happen.

Thanks for the reply mate. Read the article. Did they ever find out or tell you why your engine seized up after 7000 miles? What if you added an additive to you oil i.e (slick) or equivalent? Would this help?:confused:
