I went to Mazda Rev It Up on Saturday and thought I'd post some of the pics. Enjoy :)

See the second picture? That's me driving that yellow Mazda 6  You see that I'm not a very good auto-x'er, look how far away from the apex I was from that turn! hehe
There was a few things to do: Two skill clinics you can attend as many times as you want (slalom and braking-and-turning), a practice course that you can go on twice, and a competition course you can go on twice. The best score from each class (fun, novice, pro; I was in the novice class) from each city goes on to Laguna Seca to compete to win a Mazda 6. The 6s we drove were upgraded with Eibach springs, racing tires, and Bosal exhaust.
You can also test drive various Mazda cars on their low-speed test drive course... NO, you can't drive the RX-8 :-(
One of the last cities in the tour is New York, if you like auto-x'ing you should definitely check it out. It's a steal at only $40 for the whole day.

Cool beans, but I heard all the Mazda6's were autos last time they had one of these events. Is that still the way it is?

Yep all autos. Probably for two reasons:
1. If you've never done autocrossing before like me, you really don't have enough processing power in your brain to think about where you want to be on the track while shifting gears :) They don't even recommend you using the tiptronix thing on the practice courses.
2. They want the cars to survive the whole tour! There's no way the clutches would survive even half the tour the way we drove them if they were stick
Frank I think this is something you'd definitely enjoy, should look into signing up for the New York one. The link is
