A nice crumpled up passenger side fender. Dude tried to pull out into traffic, got cut off. Don't know if he was pissed or just tryingt he get the F out of the way of oncoming cars. Regardless...he throws his pickup into reverse and BOOM, right into my pass. side fender.
:slap: I was hard on the horn and trying to drop into reverse to get the hell out of the way...no good. At least he missed my wheel...but just barely.

well at least HIS insurance is going to cover it. a Cougar replacement is 221.00 , for one fender, so take that one add 70 to it and get you a pair of z3's if you didnt already have them. gotta make the best you can out of a bad thing. i feel ya though. some assholes just ask for it. id be like my neck hurts too. haaaaaa

$848.00 for a friggin fender!!!!! At least that's the 1st estimate I've gotten.

Cougar oem replacement parts are extremely expensive. My car got broken into over a year ago through the right side quarter glass. I called the dealership so I could get the glass and have the insurance company reimburse me so that I would not have to drive around with no back side window. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was over $2,000 for one peice of glass. I called another place and got quoted $1700. Luckily the police found the people responsible for raping my car and they were responsible for all damages. I got the body shop to quote the most expensive window, while ordering the cheaper one. That is how I payed for my body kit.

My insurance quote was even higher for the fenders so I wasn't anything out of pocket to get the z3's you might also check into those other fenders (I can't remember their name but the vents were on the side of wheel well rather than the top)

I think I'm going to go back with the stock fenders, have the wing done, front bumper retouched and change out the graphics, seeing as the pass side ones will have to be stripped off. The only reason I was thinking about getting the Z3s were to purge through the vents.

I came VERY close to tromping him. I was laying on the horn and SCREAMING at him out the window to stop but nope......right into the passanger side.

UPDATE- I've finally got the insurance crap done and money on the way. The painter at the shop she's going to...on vacation for a week. I call them today to setup when to take the car in...The owner...also the guy who does most of the work went in the hospital Thursday with a heart blockage...now I've have NO idea when they car is going in. I can't go anywhere with more than one person...pass. door won't open.

Gotta go Z3's man they look sweet. Got to get a couple of price quotes and then I am gonna get them probably after the winter. Man I hope that I don't find a GF so that I can save some money during the Christmas holiday, LOL.

GOD I miss my car. It's going on 3 weeks now without her. I'm stuck driving a Mazda 626...sucks compared to the Coug.
New pass fender
New mesh in the front bumper and all the rock dings fixed.
No graphics (for a while)
New CF wing (5inch JSP wing)
Having the entire car buffed out professionally.



I CAN'T WAIT. Friggin holidays....slowing EVERYTHING down.

Atleast you are getting everything fixed the right way. The wait will be worth it soon. Did you take off all of the graphics?

I got lucky... I've been driving a '04 Maxima for the past week. I had alternator problems and had to get a rental car. 265hp= Vrrooom, vrrooom!!!

The flames are no more. That sucked in it's own right. The pass side was a PITA..the vinyl delaminated...took 5 hours. The brackets for the new Cf wing are too wide to sit flush on the curved decklid. I'm going to have fillers machined for it, then have the wing installed. IMO the car looks like ass right now. I had them go ahead and remove the factory wing and weld the holes so now I'm running around with no wing at all.
265Hp Maxima...SWEEEEET...you should have pulled your nitrous setup off...could have made some money at the "track"
