The Dirty South Neco Meet **Location and Date Set**

I would like to form something with you guys and the Georgia Folks. Im unsure of a date we all can meet. Possibly sometime before September 16th would be great. I really enjoy chillin with you all and I would like to meet some other faces from Carolina Neco.

So basically right now we need:

-Location Ideas (easy to get to for Everyone in all three states)
-Meet Date
-Meet Ideas
- A roll call of everyone that wants to attend


I dont really want this to die out. The next big Cougar meet for everyone will probably be Nopi Nationals here in Atlanta, but I would like to do something beforehand.

michelle, it would be hella sweet if we can get a group of florida folks to come up too!, but see the thing is a central meeting place for NC, SC, GA members would be a lot closer to everyone besides Florida. Depending on location you all might not want to come up :(

if we want to make this a fairly large event/meet.. I will try my damndest to get a discount hotel rate for everyone. I just need to know how many and a location. How about Atlanta? I mean there's plenty to do here, lots of hotels, Hard Rock Cafe, Malls, and other attractions including SiX Flags. If we do this in my town I will get reservations at the Hard Rock. I can also get 15 dollars off tickets for everyone to 6-Flags.

Just let me know. I will also assure you that the hotel will be nice. It all depends on the price everyone wants to spend for one night. Plan on meeting Saturday and leaving Sunday morning :shrug:


edit: I can lead everyone around Atlanta since I know all the roads/ highways extremely well.

double edit: If we do this meet on August 16th, that is when Hot Import Nights is here in Atlanta, this meet can revolve around that also. The show runs into midnight. HIN is pretty large in Atlanta.

triple edit: If this goes through as planned I will post a schedule of what we will be doing , so no one is confused on the activities for the day.

maybe choosing something in the center of VA to Middle FL & then Center from Atlanta GA to I95 in SC? That would probably give a good middle ground for everyone as it seems like there is interest from all states?

Atlanta would be too far for me.. What about Columbia SC? It seems pretty central.. maybe Greenville? Spartanburg? Charlotte? There's a few things to do there.. I think.. I don't know TOO much about it.. but we could always find something and make some trouble :) Maybe Todd can help us out with this one..

I would be interested, I don't have a coug anymore but I can come in the mustang. I would have to request off soon if it is going to be in August so I should be able to make arangements if the date and place are decided soon. I think that it would be cool to get that many groups together for a regular meet.

Ok, by looking at the maps, Savannah seems to be a prime location for this meet. If anyone objects please tell me. Savannah is right on the beach so we can definatly cruise down there and head to Tybee Island in a caravan! BasSpyder420a lives in Savannah so Im going to get into contact with him about hotels and things to do down there.

I guess since Savannah will be the location Ill set the date for August 23rd.


If anyone thinks this needs to be changed please tell me. Setting the date for the 23rd gives us plenty of time to get hotels, activities, and a schedule set up. This meet will run from Friday Night/ Saturday Morning (Arrival) to Sunday morning (Depart) :)

Its definatly not a problem, I dont mind putting these things together. Below is a list of hotels that I will be calling. I picked the following hotels for location and price purposes. It will be one of these three

I picked the three hotels that stood out to me ranging from highest price to lowest. I will try my best to get a group rate for all of us. After the hotel has been set-up I will work on planning activities for everyone.

I dont think too many folks are mod savvy, well at least in Georgia. I would love to get my interior work done in tweed...

but back to what I was thinking... here is an EXTREMELY rough schedule of what we may have planned.

Friday Evening

hello to all. heres the beach parking situation: i talked to some ppl at the parking services on tybee and they said they cant and wont reserve parking, pretty much its first come first serve. also meeting place, there is a wal mart right off of I-95 with a huge parking lot. we could all meet up there and then caravan to the beach or where ever we end up goin. the wal mart is right off of exit 104 there is a big wal mart sign sticking up into the air. if you have any questions IM me on AIM at BasSpyder420 or PM me.

To be honest with ya George, I am going to go ahead and say I probably wont be able to make it...our lease is up Sept 30 which means the weekend prior will probably be used for the move in & making sure this apt is clean so I can get my deposit back....., so with packing, moving expenses, etc....I just dont see it happening....


The new apt will be much bigger so if I had any extra cash (shich I doubt I will) it would go for new stuff for the apartment!

The paintball idea was if we did the meet near Atlanta, so since we relocated, im unsure as of this moment. Im going to get in contact with Adam this morning/afternoon about areas around savannah for Paintball. Ill definatly post as soon as I find something out...should be today.

We have several different playing fields ranging from a super fast speedball field, another with a two story tower, a very player savvy bunker field and a huge wooded field that crosses a dried up swamp (the real deal). Our speedball field is a spectator friendly field with a netting 10 ft. tall and 300 ft. long so that the non-playing guest can also enjoy watching the games and entertainment. New pro shop. at the time they were cheap and I had just spent all my money on the rest of the system, so I bought a couple to try em' out. They actually pushed those 10"s pretty well and I never had a problem with them. Of course now I have that shedder on the 10"s and it's jamming!

ok ppl here is the paint ball information, now keep in mind we need to get an accurate head count to get a goup disscount for the tickets.

for 10 tickets its $5 each or $5 off i cant really remember at the moment but that is for admition which covers gun and mask.

for all day paint and CO2 its $10 per

fro 500 paint balls its $15

tickets can be purchased online or over the phone with a credit card

when i spoke to the representative i told her that we were going to be having about 10-20 ppl coming, so as soon as you can go ahead and tell us (george, me, or on here) so we can get tickets.

also keep in mind that the place the paint ball field is at is bout a 30-45 mins away from here in savannah but hey caravans are aways fun ehh.

Its great to see more Carolina Neco folks coming! This should turn out to be a great meet. Please book your hotel rooms soon, and figure out who is staying with who. Bethany and I worked very hard to get this all squared away and the room is amazing for the price. Brand new hotel with all the ammenities. We are currently working on a schedule of what the meet will consist of and we will post later this week.



I would also like to take this time to thank everyone that is showing support by working out your schedules for this meet. Without you all this meet wouldnt be possible. :grouphug:
