Which set of mb quart component speakers should I get?
Ok ok, let me clarify.
I'm not wanting the most top end, but I'm not waiting the worst ones they sale, either. (Relative statement there...)
I'm not going to put a price cap on it, but I'm just looking for peoples input of which ones are the best bang for the buck really?
Using a link I found on some thread posted by Charles..
Beginning of the MB Quart companents they sale:

Ive had a set of MB Quart Discus 5x7" coaxials for 2 years, still play as loud and clear as the first day I installed them. 130$ back then, probably cheaper now that new series are produced. They are basically a lower model, but are as good as most higer end other brands. The 6.5" component sets can be anywhere from 200 to 500 a pair, those are for serious audiophiles. I just like it loud-

Since you're using a link I posted, you probably already know that I recommend the MB Quart Discus series 6.5" coaxials. At $99 per pair you can't beat the price, and you would be REALLY hard-pressed to beat the sound quality (especially if you're using the stock locations)...if you're looking for "bang for the buck".

to really know what your after for "bang for the buck", we need to know what your budget is. if your budget is around a hundred bucks, the quarts are a good choice. if youre budget is $500, you should look into the diamond audio line.
also look at some of the newer boston accoustic speakers, they sound great.
and as always if you really want the best then find your nearest focal dealer!!

I have MB Quart 6.5" (well actually there more like 7") components up front and 5x7 in the back powered by a Fosgate 500x, they sound great. I have pics of the install if you need em.

If your looking for great 6.5" components for a decent price I'm going to have to recommend the CDT CL-61 from thezeb.com (http://www.thezeb.com/caraudio/CDT_Audio_Components.html). These are $300 speakers that are priced down to $150 because of a paint defect. IMO you won't do better for the money.

Hmm... I don't really have a set budget... But lets just say ~300/pair.. i'll pay more then that if need be.. i'll gladly pay less then that, too

look at the focal access line, and the diamond m6 line. those are both great sets, and to top it off the diamond line comes with a 3yr waranty when dealer installed!

The difference of a 2 way and a 3 way is the number of active speakers on a single pole, A 2 way consist of a woofer and a pole mounted tweeter. The 3 and 4 ways just have multiple tweeters and mid range drivers mounted in the center. Really anything over a 2 way is a waste, most common types of 3 ways have a woofer, midrange dome tweeter, and a piezeo tweeter which produces frequencies higher than the mid range- a small dime sized piezeo tweeter mounted next to a midrange is not really worth the extra cash or loud enough to be clearly heard, unless its used in a horn driver.
