I'm the first back from Cougarfest. :) Kyle and Heather are staying until like Tuesday... and I can't take that much time off... so I made the mad dash home by myself yesterday. I left at 10am Sunday, and got home at almost 2 am Monday morning.

Cougarfest was awesome... you all suck for not going. :) Basically it was 3 days of parties, and 4 hours of Cougars... but oh well... Beach was great, bar were better (though it was only myself, slurpee, gldgremlin, jennaj, and ggracer out of all of CF to go. :-) ) Pictures will be posted very soon.

so where the hell are those pictures of catnip's cougar?!

You know what... we had no scarey road tales... the whole freaking trip out there was one of the best caravans. Heather and I caravaned down to Evansville, IN and we made awesome time... and then we all decided to leave from Mary's that night and made it to Lexington, KY by like 2:30 am before crashing at a hotel. Got up early, and finished the trip the next day without much incident.

Pics coming as soon as I can update Reagansnet... I'm at work now :( and slept all day yesterday trying to catch up on sleep.

I left Sunday at 8:30am (my time) and got home 7:30pm (only stopped for gas and bathroom).

The trip back had a few moments.

Cute guy in blazer and I played around for about 60 miles in Virginia, it was fun. (Heather I took his pic during one of our driving side by side times so you will get to see how cute)

In Kentucky it got scarey tho. I became mouse for a red mustang convertible and a white honda with full body kit and 3 feet tall wing. I was trying to shake them when this hick in a truck with big tires thought we must be some fast and furious gang. He kept trying to rev up on me and cut in between mustang boy and pepito (vanity plate on white honda). I was thankful for that and took off away from all of them. Well, truck boy then caught up to me a reved and waved and all that. I just kept looking straight to ignore him but kept an eye out in my periphal vision. I caught him grab both hands on the right side of his steering wheel (I was in the left lane). I slammed on brakes just as he swung over to where I was. I then went over to the right lane just before he slammed on his brakes! This guy was either trying to run me off the road or wreck into me!!! I dodged traffic to get about 5 cars ahead of him and then maintained speed with the guy next to me so nobody could move anywhere allowing him to catch up to me again. I saw him get off about a couple miles down the road. I have no idea what made him do that, but I was in KY.

Well, at least you got a story out of your trip home... my was boring as hell. It got better when I got out of the communist states of VA and PA and into OH where I could speed again. Only crazy thing was the rain storm that hit once I got into Chicago... I had to slow to about 5 mph to drive... got on I-55 and noticed people driving around something... turns out it had flooded I-55 and people were driving around all the stopped dead cars. The water looked between 6 and 12 inches deep and all I could think was that I had maybe 6 inches of clearance under my car and that I probably just drowned my neons.

Glad to hear you are okay though, that would be scary...

Did you go through Tennessee at all? Best state ever. (For scenery in the southern area)

Didn't touch TN at all. I agree TN is beautiful, love it there. I will have to say tho that VA and WVA were also some of the best scenery. I enjoyed it more on the way home.

I had a BLAST at Cougar Fest! :) I know this year wasn't very organized, but I that the fact we have done this for 4 years now, most people were happy to see each other again. Total social gathering! I got to know Steve, Tom and Mary a lot better this weekend. I thought those three were great cougar buddies..but now THEY ARE AWESOME COUGAR BUDDIES! I hope my IQ went up a few points hanging around Tom and I really want to see the Chick Butt video from Steve. Mary and I just clicked really well (or at least I think!) We got all excited over the hot marines! LOL!

Was it worth the 15 hr trip to Viriginia Beach? YEP! ALL THE WAY! 15 (however, for me it turned out to be 18 and 17) hours wasn't that bad if you had people caravaning w/you. Thanks Tom and Steve for stopping for all the pit stops I had to make....and putting up w/my singing! :) You guys are always welcome at my place (you too Mary and Tim!)

It ended up taking me 17.5 hours to get back because we made a stop in Radford to drop off Kyle's car at Shanda's (ViciousCat) apartment. By the way, we passed through Bland County, VA on the way back and found out that Shanda's location listing of middle of nowhere, VA is pretty acurate. The county doesn't even have a town in it.

I met a whole bunch of people this year including Trevor himself, and I put down the most power for an ATX at the dyno. The organization was lacking and hopefully the planning goes better for next year, but I had a blast anyways.
