Just wanted to give everybody a heads up about the Mazda Performance Driving School and Competition (http://www.mazdarevitup.com/f_home.asp). Apparently, Mazda, like several car manufacturers, is hosting a driving event. What makes this different is that you get to test drive the Mazda 6 on an autocross course a couple of times and participate in a driving clinic.

Too bad the only events left are Washington, DC and New York, NY.....I almost went to the one in ATL but it was the weekend of the Rolex Series race, oh well!!!

It would be an excellent thing to attend to get the feel for the car, and some decent instruction.

If your going there to win.. well you'll be going up against national champions and drivers names including
Rick Cone,
Pat Salerno,
Mark Daddio..
Among others..

I'd do it but just don't feel the need, and cougarfest fell right on the philly date.

I went when it was in St. Louis it enjoyed it. If you live near on of the remaining cities I recommend going. In addition to autocrossing the 6, there is a test drive section with a bunch of cars from their product line.

yeah, Mark Daddio was tops when i left, but Eric Wong (amateur) got 30 seconds. i wasn't hoping to win (35 seconds), but rather to have fun and to attend the clinics run by Skip Barber Driving School.
