So... was Rickenbomb the only MD member at Cougarfest?!?
DanG, FastCougar, and I were the only Capital members. :(
It's a shame that turnout was so small for our chapters, since we live closer than any other chapter, except for Tidewater.

Sorry Gary, Most of us were at a big show in Glen Burnie! 241 entries, it was a blast! My cougar went up against 241 cars,mostly muscle and historic and took a top ten judges award and a top 40 participant award which I gave back to the next person picked. My camaro won top 40 too so I didn't want to be greedy and take all three, Top ten was a huge surprise!!! We had 6 cougars there, more than any other club of late models,it was great,can't wait until September for the next one!

congradulations on the awards...alot of us were at the show Gary. I also didn't feel like driving down there after work just for anight then have to come back for the show that I really wanted to be in.
We either had money to finally put the Cougar in the shop for 2 claims OR go on vacation to CF....
We picked fixing the Cougar! ;)
She's in the shop now! :biggrin:
I did feel bad about not going, but I just couldn't go with our car in that condition...

i was there in spirit as i paid my registration but then couldn't go. i asked that my registration fee be kept and used towards CF.
edited cause i sounded nasty and didn't mean to!!
MD didn't boycott CF (even tried to make sure those from MD that were going were organized.. didn't realize that henry was the only one from MD that made it this year). just seems like everyone had other things come up :shrug:

I was there on Staurdayfrom 5 pm till about 10pm was let down by the turn out but got to see a couple of my mass/conn bros
I was there in spirit :biggrin: (and on the phone with Henry ;) )

I've been severely crunching on a project for work... so I didn't have the energy to go to either CF or the other show.

I didnt get to meet very many people. Infact I only met 3 people from Mass/Conn and 1 from Ohio Neco whom I had not met before and when I tried to meet other people they sort of payed no attention. I am starting to think I am an outcast from neco society..... BUT I HAVE A COUGAR!!!! ...lol

nah, you know people. they tend to hang with the ones they know. ignernt made a good effort to greet everybody. i think the show was over by 5PM, so it's no surprise that we missed each other. maybe i'll make the effort to attend an MD meet sometime this summer. :beer:

I did not stay at the Cougar fest hotel, but was present part of the day friday and at Mount trashmore and the dyno area on saturday.
No one knows me though, since I have not been to a meet.

It is a 2.5 hour drive to Bmore for me, that is the main reason, that and work.

You're still going to have to try to come out one day to meet us all. :) ~ I promise we're worth the drive. ;)

I fess up! The reason I didn't go to cougarfest even know it was so close is because
(1) I found that spending a grand on a vacation and just standing around like at a regular car show for only 5 hrs was not my idea of fun.
(2 I didn't think it was handled well from all of the drama on the boards and the constant fighting in public,hell I can stay home and argue with my kids if that is the case.
(3) Way to disorganized for me!
It was fun to finnally put some faces with the names but it wasn't worth a grand just to do that.
I always have a blast around younger people but I felt kind of out of place once I met everyone in person, I wasn't uptight but I think some of the younger ones thought damn she's old enough to be my mom better behave myself, (not true with me). So I decided to hang with the OLDER car club people here at home.
I still love ya all though!

There are times when hanging with my Mom can be more fun than anything else... Karen, you're alot like my mom - you never know what to expect. ;) If I ever "behave myself" with my Mom, she'd wonder what was wrong with me, we get in alot of trouble together. :evil:

THAT is soooooo true :evil: what is even more odd, is that i feel the same way about MY mom and she reminds me of nicky's mom and karen. if my mom and i aren't causing trouble, then we aren't together :rofl:

i can see it now... my blind mom eating krispy kreme, your drunk mom, you, and me all driving down route 2! your mom would want to talk to the cops at the road block ;) , my mom would be torturing construction workers with an ice cream cone and krispy kreme, i'd be making friends with the other drivers, and you'd be driving and trying not to wreck from laughing! :rofl:
