Alright I finished changing my LED's to blue in my car. it looks great. but heres the problem. On the drivers side i was changing on of the window switches, when i broke off the resistor on it - so i thought, no problem, i just put on a new resistor, and finished the switch, it worked fine for like a day, then the next day that light wouldnt turn on anymore, so I changed it again, and I worked for a whole day again, then broke. I then installed my last set of LED and Resistor, and it worked fine until I actually pressed the button. Anyone know what might be causing this? oh and if anyone knows a poor mans way to check if an LED still works please feel free to post. much appreciated. ALEX.

Ok, first of all, to check an LED just find a 9-volt battery laying around and touch the two prongs to the + and - sides. It should light up.
Second, what ohm resistor are you putting in the switch, because it sounds like you don't have a high enough resistance and your led's are burning up. Check the ones you took out and see if they still work, and if not you fried them because the resistor you're using isn't strong enough.

I believe the wires are touching when you press down the button. I did Stkcougs and we had the same poblem the first time. The metal contacts and bypassing the rsistor.

I got a bunch for sale too (left overs). 3000mcd 3mm Blue LED (same as everyone else) plus 470 ohm resistor for $1.00 shipped.
PM me if interested.

When you push down on the button the contacts are hitting the resistor and shorting out your LED. I also still have some 3000 & 5000 MCD LED's with resistor for $1.
