What is the thought on the sony xplod xs-l121p5? If anyone has one, what is a good amp for two of them?

IMO Sony car audio only serves one purpose...paper weights. Again, this is just my opinion. If you like distortion and crappy quality, Sony is your sub! ;)

If you've listened to these subs and you liked them then by all means go for it. However you could probably do much better in the same price range. My subwoofer search started a year ago and just last week I decided on the sub I want. You just have to keep looking and looking and looking and looking. Good luck!

I agree, I don't like Sony. Are you going for deep bass, a wide range or sound quality, etc.....? These are all factors and the Sony's are way over priced.

I also agree on this, never buy Sony speakers of any kind. I have a Sony head unit and 10-disc changer and I love it, the sound quality is amazing, but that's it. Their speakers suck, right along with Pioneer speakers. They just aren't speaker companies.

Because I have never heard the older model Sony speakers but I've only heard about them, don't take this as first-hand experience. From what I hear the older model speakers were decent. They were good, entry level products. When their xplod series came out, is when Sony went to crap. Anyone here have experience with older model Sony speakers?
