View Full Version : 1st Meet
As most of you know we had kinda just thrown out the idea of a first meet. I had offered to do it in Oklahoma City at my mothers house ( she lives in the country so we could be safe with all the cars and not worry about people bothering us) so we could have a place to do some modding. If you guys and gals still want to do this im going to need some dates that you have available. From the other thread I gathered that It would take place some time in September being that most of August is really taken up and its comming up too soon with little planning.
soooo.. What about the second weekend in September? I beleive its the weekend after Labor Day.
Edit: Can someone sticky this please.

That sounds like a great idea! I get off at 1:15 on fridays now and that would work out perfect. I may have to purchase some parts so i can have something to do now. You all seen a zetec yet:biggrin:

Second weekend in September would be a lot better for me than the first (as originally suggested). My future is a little hazy at the moment, but if I'm not moving or anything, I'll be there.

yeah, that sounds good 2 me so far....i'm not 2 sure bout stuff i have going on w/ school, yet. but as of now..i can't think of anything going on that weekend. labor day weekend, eric & i r gonna b outta town...so the weekend after is a lot better! :)
that sunday is my b-day(14th) so i dunno if i'll be able to attend...will try my best tho
and an update...my car seems like it will ALWAYS be work in progress and doesnt look like it'll be put back together for at least 2 more months :(

so is the show for august 9th canceled?
im not really sure...it was originally scheduled and sponsored by a shop called Planet Car Fi...the manager that was setting up the show left last month and is opening a new shop aug 1...so car fi isnt sure if the show is still on and the new shop is yet to decide if show is gon' be on or not...car fi offered me a job there last week and im still in consideration of taking it or not(the guy that left is one of my best friends and that means i cant have his logo on my car :( ) so its a hard decision...to make a long story short....the car business in joplin is ****ty right now cuz its soo confusingas to whos where etc

noooooo....i can't do it that weekend of the 5th & 6th...i have rush 4 my sorority! i just found out this weekend at meeting. can we do it another weekend that would still b good w/ every-1 else?? i'm sorry guys! but i don't wanna miss meeting every-1! :)

I'm contemplating the idea of a road trip. Been looking to come down to Missouri to party it up with Eric here anyway. So MAYBE count me and Ryan in ;)

Missouri sounds good, I just ordered alot of stuff from CustomCougars, but its on 4-6week backorder, so it won't be finished by the meet...
Soon to be: Z3 fenders, Aerogear C/F Predator hood (painted like Jame's new one), SW Drift front (Painted with a black center like Crispy's car), and WW Rear...

If it's in missouri, please post on gateway when and where cause I'll try to make the meet then to.
where did missouri come from.
I started the thread with it being in OKC.
If you want to move locations, someone has to offer to set things up. If not let me know so I can start arranging things and getting things together. Its a month away and things need to start being organized.

from what i've gathered its the weekend of the 13th of which i wont be able to attend as i will be turning 20 that weekend
we need to decide on something soon so people can start planning.

Hmm this sounds pretty promising if its in OKC cause the next Texas meet seems like it'll be too far for me. I'll have school and work both full time but my weekends are free so count me in as a possibility.

i can pretty much get any weekend off as long as i know in advance.
I think most of the people said that the second weekend is best...except for CBG.

the weekend of the 19th thru the 21st sounds good 2 me. i'll know 4-sure after this weekend, b/c i'll b back in springfield & i'll know dates 4 everything. but i don't think i'll have anything planned that weekend. :) is okc fine w/ every-1 also?

actually, it's more like under 3 hours... from dallas to the border is 1 hour, then 2 to okc...

im still planning to have it at my house but it sounds like no one is interested. We need to start a list on what we want to do (mods) and the people that are planning on comming.
you most likely wont be able to count me in...new job. buyin new car. and im kissin the coug goodbye for the winter most likely...dunno how things are gon' turn out here atm :'(
