In the trunk there is a part on each side that goes out from the rest. Has anyone put a sub in each side before and if so should I use fiberglass or wood?

If I did use wood where could I get carpet the same as that which is already in my car or even the plastic that is on the back wall?

Looks like a great beginning layer to finishing off some fiberglass. :kick:

I'm guessing you want a look similar to mine...See pics (& post or PM me if you need some specific details).

BTW...Everything you see is made of MDF & covered in dark grey vinyl to match the factory dark grey plastic trunk trim pieces.

No point in starting a new topic because this has to do with the same thing.

Does anyone have pictures of just .. say.. one sub flush in those grooves, in each corner?

I like cwtIII trunk (along with everything else).. but I, personally, would like something... not quite so big.

I want to do the same kind of thing, but I want a Kicker L7 12" on each side. My only question is where to put those huge ass amps(2 Kicker 800.1), and I want the subs angled towards the front a bit more. Any suggestions???

well it is gonna be my job, but that model is kinda rough and i have the angle set up in such a way that it would go from the "bump" to the back plastic of the trunk, plenty of room for a 12, and the amps could posibbly be thrown under the seats, just as long as there's enuf breathin rm.

Couldn't facing the subs towards each other cause cancellation, imaging problems, etc?

I had played around with MDF and made sub enclosures for my trunk like what I think some of you are talking about, and here (http://www.cougarimage.com/picturedb/gallery.php?username=zybo2004) is the link to them. Granted they are nighttime pics, and it might be kinda hard to see, but they sounded great.....better than when I had them in one solid box facing the rear of the trunk....

BigAls pic is what I want to do, but with L7's. those AMPS are pretty big, and require some breathing room. Maybe slap em on the back seats, or along the sides somehow. It'll be a while, schools startin and I'm tryin for a Gov't job that you need to go to school full time to have for some program. But It'll happen. $170 for 12" L7's isn't bad though. So maybe by next summer or if I get bored this winter.

But where can you run the 1/0 or 2 guage wire these amps need???? So its not too obvious??
