Got a phone call today.....

So today I get a phone call from Slade at about 11am. And this wasnt not a good phone call, upon leaving his house today he forgot to close his tailgate, thus causing him to rip his spoiler slightly from his rear hatch sheet metal. This is as I like to think of it... a huge party foul before CF. I remarked that from now on everyones decision making privelidges have been taken away, as every decision can change the rest of your life, or well the rest of CF for you. (That line was from gone in 60 seconds). Anyways, he basically ripped the screws out of his hatch and caused some problems with the metal not being smooth anymore. He believes it is fixible with longer screws and some double sided tape, for a Temporary fix. Lets hope that he gets this together and pulls his head out of his ace..... :) Sorry buddy I still love ya(in a non ghey way). Anyways, see everyone soon!

Yeah, I got the same phone call. Of all days to happen! It'll be OK. We'll get him all fixed up. But remember Slade:: you're still a badass whether your spoiler is F-ed up or not. :kiss:

I think we should make up a fantastic story to tell everyone at CF about how it happened, like we almost got mugged in Norfolk and the guy was hanging on the wing as we drove away.

Maybe he still has the cardboard wing from last years Halloween meet in C-bus he could use?:biggrin::bowdown::bs::confused:

Man the bad luck is just going around. Mine isn't as bad, but damn. Mike/gyger came over to put on my rims and we found out the retailer was wrong, that I do need spline driver/tuner style lug nuts for my rims. He had to leave today so tomorow he has to come back over and take me to get the new lug nuts and then we can install my rims. Mike gets the Good Guy Award from me this week. He already took me to Advance Auto to get rim polish and helped me polish (did 75% of the work for me) my rims before we took them outside and found the problem. I swear he wanted to cry when we couldn't mount the rims. I think he was almost as excited to put them on as I was. Well one more day wont hurt I guess.

Back to the subject at hand, DDDDDDD@@@@MMMMMNNNNNNN, that Sucks! Well I know this wont help you for CF Slade, but if you find out you need a new spoiler I have my stock in my garage still.

TIme to put on that carbon fiber wing! I have done the same thing.. except I hit the garage door button with my hatch up. Needless to say it was ugly watching my wing get the crap kicked out of it.

Don't feel too bad, even I have such a "forgot the hatch was up" story, from my 99 Rio Red owning days... but it's too long and not nearly as bad as that, so I'll just forget I mentioned it.

BooooooooFreakingYaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! What a day from hell. Dont forget that part about me driving to the bank sans spoiler and trying to cash a $200 check for fest money and findin out that...ooops, I have - $190-something. Damn, had to deposit instead...now I literally have like $1 in my account. Oh well, I am over it cuz I fixed the wing and unless you knew I tore it off the car today (thanks John) or are like within one foot of it you'd never know. (oh yeah, and I had 3 near misses today from innattentive drivers- yea, I bull$hit you not! 3 near accidents! All today!) Needless to say the car is clean and in the garage. Now time to beg a family member to take one of theirs to work tonight.

(hope I dont wreck into the aircraft tonight..been that kinda day...and I got 5 hours sleep and havent eaten since yesterday...but I am still in a good mood. Thanks Diane and Cougarfest and all of you for your support) :bowdown:
