I'm going up there in a few weeks and not sure what all is there. At least going to hit Six Flags I guess. What's a good part of town to stay in?

Actually, that theater no longer shows movies. They're just a concert venue now.

As for what to do here, it depends on what you want to do. Lots of clubs, lots of attractions. As for where to stay, again, it depends on what you want to do and where you want to go.

Check out the Dallas Observer (http://www.dallasobserver.com). It's the local weekly "alternative" paper that has good event listings and bar ads.

Some of my friends tell me that the Oak Lawn/Cedar Springs area is hopping with some cool clubs. Some of their recommendations:

The Round Up Saloon (if you like Country dancing)
The Village Station (if you like dancing in general)
They tell me there's lots of women at Sue Ellen's
Moby Dick's is supposed to be good to watch people
as is JR's
Throckmorton Mining Co. is kinda goth/leather.
