Please tell me that no one in this forum is as stupid as the guy in the Celica forums. There was a video of some guy racing around the pack streets of New York at over 100 miles per hour. He was cutting people off and driving in the breakdown lane and getting within inches of hitting multiple cars. LUCKILY he didn't run into anyone. Why are some people so stupid. His defense was that he has been driving/ racing in those streets for 5 years. As if it made it any better that he's repeated this stupidity for 5 years. I got to see the video right before they deleted it for like the umpteenth time. Hopefully someone that likes to drive this way learned they're lesson after watching this video and realized how stupid they're actions were.

Looks like everyday driving in NY to me. I just hope someone stabs all of those guys in the eye with a kitchen knife. Not because of their driving....I feel that way about most NYers.

I see people drive like that almost all the time. At the 5:30 was that a police cruiser he passed or a taxi? That was some pretty gay driving music too.

I do that song just wasn't cutting it enough for driving. If I were to drive like that Id find the most hyper song I could find.

Those were actually the guys in my boyfriend's chapter of Celica Boards (http://www.newcelica.org) - Northeast, to be exact. Hopefully they'll get into trouble when the video floats around to people who they sure as Hell don't want to see it. They thought they were being cool, and I started *****ing and they shot back. Idiots. If you're going to race, then race - but not when there are other cars around and on a parkway as dangerous as that one. If you want to kill yourself, fine, just don't take other people with you.

Ha, this thread is getting better and better. Apparently some people threatened that they called the NYPD and gave out the plate numbers they had seen in the video. And now some troll posing as a NY Highway cop (who's user name is NYPD Hwy and actually listed his car as a Crown Victoria :rolleyes: ) is saying that he and his buddies will be on the lookout for those Celicas. Such drama.

wow. now I have a sudden urge to play Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 :tongue:
that video reminds me of yesterday when there was a big wreck on the freeway and everyone tried to use sidestreet detours. UNFORTUNATELY, their detour got in the way of my route home, so I was weaving around the lost and wandering boneheads trying to find their way back to the freeway.
note: I wasn't driving nearly as crazy as those people, but it's irritating as hell when there's a herd of cars going 40 mph on roads where you usually travel 60-65 mph :mad:
