I was going to see my friend and show him my AEM intake that i just put in today.....Finally. So i catch a light with a 2003 civic EX (might have been a 2004, i'm not sure). Anyway, he revs it a little and i didnt really think that he wanted to race so i revved it up too. The light turns green and he asks if i want to run them, so i said sure, I jump a little but he wasnt ready so i waited. He punched it and i punched it we only went to about the begining of 3rd but I only had him by about 1/2 a car length. not sure if he got a little headstart or what, but i noticed from 2nd to 3rd i started to pull on him a little. I figured it would be a beatin though, and i didnt really get him by much. The car seemed stock, maybe i got a bad start. Anyone got any opinions??? I'm kinda in shock that it was that close...:shrug:
umm either you don't know how to drive or gave him a head start.
Nascarsig EP beat an EX by 4-5 lengths with no-one in the car.. the civic proceeded to talk **** so tim loaded back up with 2 passengers and still beat the EX by 2-3 lenghts with 3 people in the car. Got it on video. Stupid civic.

Why would you wait during a race? He asked, you accepted, light was already green, you go, you smoke.

Yeah, you probably gotta learn how to drive better.. I remember the first month that I had my car (my first manual car) I got smoked by a ricey CRX by a car length.. While learning how to drive stick for those first few months, I would practice launching at stop lights whenever the road was clear, and practiced shifting quicker... About 6 months later, I saw the same Ricey CRX, and raced him again.. I beat him by several car lengths that time..

i really think he got a head start, i've been driving standard for over 2 years, and i thought it was wierd that i didnt kill him.....oh well, i'll see him again i imagine, and this time i wont wait around:biggrin:
this reminds me of a time when a guy in a 2.5 altima came flying from behind me with me not realizing he wanted to race and by the time my car started to gain on him he started flashing his lights like he won. he happened to do this right before one of my favorite turns which is where i love racing people. moron did 2 things wrong 1) you dont start a race by flying by them which we all know(pissed me off)
2) use emergency lights to call race not flashing your brights(this really pissed me off after he did that which i then floored it all the way through the turn which he couldnt hang, i think he didnt even want to try to race around this corner so i was pretty much doing it out of aggression)
