Well Candy ( My car ) has sold and will be picked up sometime this week. So I thought I would take it out one last Saturday night and see what was up. Spent a few hours cleaning and waxing and got it all nice and shiney. w00t.

So I head out with the digicam. First stop the mall parking garage for some pics. I arrive and start taking some pictures next thing I know security truck pulls up and just watches me... i turn my back and take a picture. He then pulls up and says "Sweet car, you selling it?" I said well I was, but it sold. He then proceeds to tell me he has seen me around and it is one of his favorite cars. He was upset I sold it. The security guy was 21 (my age) so we BS'd for a bit asked him if he ever caught anyone humping out in the lot at night..that type of ****. Cool guy.

Next up head by the Rice wash ( Car wash ) and see whats up. I drive by and notice this probe with a sensei kit and all primed. I had seen it around before but never parked. I love ford probes so natuarlly I parked and headed to the group of people standing around. Asked around, found the owner, and asked him whats up. Now I figured the guy had to be cool since the car looked like he knew what he was doing... WRONG. I asked him what year... 98 . Ummm they didn't make 98's.. but whatever. Asked him what engine it had... and I quote. "It has a 3.0 GTR engine. I have a honda turbo at home that does 10,000RPMS I am going to put on it." WTF.. now this guy had lost 100% of my respect. The car was awsome too, shave handles, completlly molded kit, and 18" rims. He asked what I had. I pointed down the way to the shiney ass cougar. He said "WOW that thing is hot!" I said thanks; I sold it though so it won't be mine much longer. Then his freinds come over asking why I sold such a cool car. I responded, "It's slow as fawk! And beside it has high miles anymore, just time to move on." Well I wraped that up cause the cops started to harras some people down the way.

Now I was headed home. On the way home I got 3 seperate people to give me compliments on my car. :)

Tonight made me want to call the guy up and say, " Sorry can't sell you my car." But o well... things change for the better right?

wow.. thats so sad. Especially with all the time and money you put into it. You better make sure the new owner treats her well. So what's the next car gonna be?

That's one of the saddest stories I've ever heard. Makes me wanna go outside and hugh my car. I hope you found someone that's gonna take care of that kitty the way it should be treated. I'm kinda curious what your next car is going to be. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Yeah I love getting compliments on my car. Just today I went to get my oil changed and it was a bunch of younger guys working in there... I was just sitting in there waiting and one of the guys comes in and sits down and starts asking me about the intake, where I got it, how much, etc. He mentioned he really liked the cougar but didn't see many around and I told him all about how mine's a special edition with only 1500 made, yadda yadda. Then after they were done they all came over and were asking what kinda system I had in the trunk so I showed em and they asked me to rev it for them so they could hear the Borla and stuff. "We work on piece of **** cars all day, it's nice to have a cool car roll thru every once in awhile."

I thought that was pretty cool...:biggrin:

I have no idea what to get next. I am really town between some cars. Ultimattly I would like to get a 99 5spd cougar with body kit already on it. But that is going to be next to impossible. Other choices are SVT Contour, 1st and 2nd gen turbo eclipse. I really would like a turbo car to play with.

I want this BAD, but he wants way to much! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6339&item=2423530204)

I am also looing at Subaru 2.5 RS. Those things are cool too... so many choices and so little time. I hope I make the right choice.

110000miles on that GST! eeek!! bad bad...those 2nd gen Turbo Eclipses have a 50% chance of Crankwalk.. (eg crank will 'wobble') and the higher the milage the more likely it is to happen...the car looks sweet though.\

that SI looks like a much better deal.

2.5RS is a hell of a good choice. Make sure its NOT an ATX though, they're slow as fawk! Even the stock MTX's aren't toooo fast, but there's alot of potential! Not sure if you've read my post or not, but a buddy and I put a 2002 WRX engine into his 1998 2.5RS. That beeeyotch hauls @$$ now! Good luck in your choice!

Yeah I was looking at that SI hard croe. I e-mailed the seller and asked if they would use Escrow. Ussually the scam people will say no so that will narrow it down. We'll see what they say. The only way I would own a civic is if it had a turbo like that one does. :)

Yeah I have been browsing rs25.com alot and read that stock those cars run 15.3-15.4 .. saw sever slips to back it up too. I like the car alot... just that they are so hard to find!

That prolly sounds about right. Never seen a stock MTX run. Stock ATX though, my Cougar ate it for lunch. He was runnin' low-mid 17's. Anything you need to know about the 2.5rs, gimme a shout, I can find it out for you. Buddy knows everything there is to know about that car. And, on a lighter note, another buddy's new WRX STi will be in on Monday! Can't wait!

How do you suppose that Civic runs with 17-foot rims?

Prez I didn't try to find the link again, but there is a 99 Rio Red Cougar MTX V6 on ebay right now with a drift kit, intake, exhaust, everything. It's an XR too with the red and black leather seats and everything. I think opening bid is $5000. Just an FYI.

Nevermind, here's the link:

Has 2 days to go with 9 bids on it at $5200...not too shabby...18's too.

Yeah thanks ellen!

I have been watching that for a day or 2 now. I e-mailed to see what his reserve is...but no word.. :( I would love to have that car, but he more than likely wants to much.... did you see the one on there.. white west wings with 3 rd gear going out.. he wants 14K... INSANE.... I'd give him 9 tops.

Yeah I saw that...$14000 plus the cost of a new tranny. Give the Rio Red one a bid, it can't hurt. Keep emailing him, that's a sweet car!
