would it make a difference in sound if.....instead of having my subs face the back of the car, make them face the front???
b/c I need to store stuff in my trunk and I don't want to risk it slamming into the sub and breaking it....

Acoustically, it's best in a hatchback to have the subs facing the trunk, but you will still hit pretty hard (with somewhat lowered quality) if you reverse the box. I'm sure the sound people can eloborate or simply blow my explanation outta here.... :biggrin:

well my friend has a Celica with 2 Rockford Fosgate subs, and he has them faced toward the front of the car because he said he was getting too much bass with them facing the back of the car. It didn't sound that good tho, the trunk rattled alot. With that setup you're really letting the people outside your car hear your bass more than you.

Well my system faces the front of the car. I think if I faced mine towards the trunk it would rattle way to much.
My icon shows my setup. I'd say the best way to find out is to just turn it around and try it. good luck
