me and 2 girls went out one night, and we were on our way home and stopped at a closed mcdonalds to have a smoke. well 2 cop cars come in and ask for my ID which i give to them. no we were just sitting there not being loud or anything so i try to ask the reason for him taking my ID and he said he could ask all the fcking questions and told me to go get up agaisnt the car. (well i'm under 17 and the law is 17 can't be driving after 1200 but he didn't realize.) he asks us all if our parents knew we were out and one girl said no. well he goes and calls her parents and makes her get in the cop car to drive her home. he comes over to me, get right in my face and starts screaming at me, calls me a fcking idiot blah blah blah, he knew her father so said if i ever hung out wiht her again hed fcking arrest me and throw me in jail., then he throws my id in my face and it lands on the ground. so i'm just shocked so i descretly ask the second cop for the dick cops badge number and the dick cop hears. and he said, this isnlt even your fcking town, if i ever see you in this fcking town again for any fcking reason i am going to arrest you you fcking asshole. get the fck out of here before i fcking arrest you and make up a fcking reason. its your word against mine. you got 5 seconds to get out of here before i throw you in fcking jail for life. gets in his car and drives the girl home.

i want to file a complaint but techniclly i was trespassing and out past my limit, and they let me off but it was completely unacceptable. first of all its verbal assault, second of all he wouldnt tel me the reason he took my id and called her parents, third he wouldn't gtive me his badge number and he threatend to arrest me if i ever drove in "his town", the town i work in everyday......i'm fcking pissed

Call the McD's and ask em if they have security cameras outside.
In your case, I would have called the cops. Ask to have a senior officer, or the "command officer on duty" to be sent to that location because you fear for your saftey. Ask the command officer to review the "dick" officers on dash video.
Actually...I most likely wouldn't have done that. I would have picked up my licence, driven away, and talked **** the whole drive...in an attempt to save face with the girls.
But I would have thought about doing that. ;)
Actually I don't know what I would do in that situation....maybe just stared in utter shock, or told him to screw off....then spent the night in jail.

You should have definately told the cop to go f*ck himself and spent the night in jail. Cops cannot speak to people that way regarless of the situation. On top of that, I doubt he would have arrested you since he would have to explain why he arrested you (getting arrested for being out past curfew is bullsh*t). As stated above, try the Mickey D's to see if they have a camera that is pointed in the direction were you were or the cop car's cam.

i would try to do something about it. even if u get in trouble for curfew. u can be in any f'n town u want to be in there is no reason he can make u stay out of "his" town. i would file a complaint, get the girls to witness and even try to ask the other cop.
chalk up another line on the "why i hate cops" list....:bs:

Reading & N. Reading cops are assholes all together. I would file a complaint & make up a reason for being out past 12 (how late was it?) in case they ask. Or just say you were running late in dropping off people...
Or just cruise around that part of town till he finds you again & this time keep your cell w/you & call the police when he harasses you again. Cops generally patrol certain areas & he may have checked in at one point in the night. The station would have a record of that.

it was in middleton and i'm from (edit for jscullin north reading) i want to file a complaint.
the big thing is refusing to tell me the reason for taking my ID and refusing to issue a badge number. thats ILLEGAL :biggrin:

bah...forget the cell phone...install a little X-10 camera (you know...the ones in the pop-up ads) on your windshield (or maybe on the Cougar head in your grill?) and try if possible to record sound. that should give em a taste of their own medicine :mad:

Actually I'm pretty sure it's illegal to record SOUND like verbal
bashing from a pig pig piggy and then try and use it against him
in court. To record sound you have to have the person's consent

I Would NOT let that slide. You did the best you could have in that situation. But the law is on your side. Crush that pig for all hes worth. Cops like that need to be taught a lesson. But thats not your place to do so, its his supervisor.
Contact his supervisor and explain what happened. There is no doubt this cop has done such things in the past and the supervisor is already keeping an eye on him or at Least knows hes a dick. In which case your complaint my just be the push the supervisor needs.
the cop car has a camera already installed. Do not go looking for the cop. The incident should have been recorded.

how bout you just go to the police station and file the complaint. tell them you don't know the cops name or badge number but maybe if you could look through some photos you could probably recognize the guy. also add that your friend witnessed the whole thing and so did the other cop. i think it'd be a whole lot easier than trying to find the cop out on the streets. good luck!

Also, you can ask who patroled that area at that time. I know in my town, there are 6 cops, one in each quadrant, one more in each half. They have to report EVERYTIME they do something, go somewhere, or stop what their doing. They have to report it in to the dispatcher, and the dispatcher would have records of who was where at what time.

i like Aliens' idea of going to the station and looking through pictures.

you could EASILY find out that way...
take this bastard to court man, you'd probably get some kind of settlement.
-case in point -
You know those stickers that people put on their car? the ones where Calvin from the "Calvin & Hobbes" is pissing on (usually a car logo) or something.
Well, this one peticular cop was well known on the major highway here for being a dick, and harrasing people... so as a joke, a tow truck driver put one of those Calvin stickers on his truck... but instead of a car logo, he put the cops name - so it looked like Calvin was pissing on the cops name.
Anyway, a few weeks went by, and the cop FOUND him, and pulled him over.... told him to remove the sticker.
The truck driver said "no... its freedom of speach" etc...
the cop flipped out on him, yelling, writing tickets for anything and everything - harrasing the driver basically.
The tow truck driver took this cop to court, and got a $25,000 settlement from it! custom_images/emoticons/shocked.gif
yes... $25,000 THOUSAND dollars. - mind you, thats in Canadian money, but still equates to around $17,000usd!
-i know this because that same cop is now working the local streets in my area... and he pulled me over and wrote me two $110 tickets (not warnings) for #1- not having my licence plate attached to the front bumper of my car (though i had it in the car) and #2- having a licence plate frame (apparently anything covering the licence plate in ANY way - including mud or dirt - is conciderd "an obstructed plate")
the cop even wrote down the info on my car wrong... so obviously he was just being a dick about it too...
I called this local "traffic ticket specialist" company here (Points) if you've heard of them... anyway, this cop was apparently FAMOUS for being a total jerk... he has a whole history of behaving like that.
so yeah don't just shrug this incident off... you can probably bag this cop big time...

i have decided not to take action for the simple fact that it would be a hassle and my parents would find out i was out at 3 am, and the cop kinda did cut me a break.
i have totally lost respect for middleton police however. in the past when i ahve gotten pulled over there has been just cause and i have been treated accordingly to my actions. but middleton is ridiculous. i work at walgreens and yesterday a cop came into buy something he noticed that i was looking over at him and he gave me a "wtf are you looking at?" look. and then he tried to use his authority to pressure the photo specialist to lower the price on his pictures. he was talking down to him and trying to use his physical size to intimidate him but luckly the guy had a sack on him and wouldn't do it. the photo specialist was black....coincidence? who knows:shrug:
