I have only have my car for a little over a year and it only had one owner before me, when i bought it the trans shifted great
like it was brand new but about 2 months ago it started down shifting and would then tach high before it would shift...then it would shift fine but when you came off the highway or down to 40mph or so after driving for a while if would shift really hard and jerk you as well as sometimes it would screech when it shiffted...well to make it short come to find that the torque converter is completely shot and my car is in the shop right now having the trans replaced which stinks....has anone else had this prob?

I'm pretty sure this is a somewhat common problem. There have been a lot of people that describe that transmission problem, and there have been several different answers to it. Do a search and you'll see what I mean.

yeah i did search before i took it to the shop as well as had the code pulled on it so i knew somewhat as to what was wrong
with it before i had it fixed and it was the torqe converter....i just got it back from the shop today and they replaced the
tranny and it is soooo much better like a new car and didnt realize how bad it was till the new one was put in...but hey i
only had to pay $50 for the trans.....i'm so glad i got the extended warranty or it would have been $2700 so i made out ok.

Glad its running great again, but it was more like $1600 + $50 :) Since you still had to pay for the extended warranty. However, you saved over a grand because you had it. Good call! :)
