After seeing your cars on Sunday I really want to make some visual changes to my Cat - lowering first, then wheels, oh and those stobe thingys and .........errm better tell the missus not to book a holiday next year.

Someone on Sunday was asking what difference big wheels make to your speedo - this link tells you. Doesn't seem to be much in it if you get the profile right

Tire Size Calculator (http://miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html)

PS. Didn't think it was that sunny on Sunday but the sunburn on my baldy head says different:cry:

raggy which cat was yours? probably didnt get round to saying hello to you!! if i did im useless with names the biggest difference(especially with wheels like mine that are heavy) is to acceleration because of the extra weight and diameter.it will affect ride comfort a little aswell but none of that matters to me when i look at my car every morning!!

Mine was the stock Melina Blue V6 next door but one to yours. Your car looked the bis. but those stobes in your fogs were something special, hope you don't mind if I steal the idea;)

Hi Raggy

It was I that was asking about the speedo reading when changing tyre size. Thanks for the link it is really usefull.

Also it was great to meet everyone. I have worked out that with all the mods I want to do Holidays will be out of the question for at least two years ( another popularity contest won). Although I think I'll give Andy's ICE a miss.:)

Raggy,

Suggest that you sort the wheels before you drop the cab. That way you can get the right rim size and then drop to optimum height.
Also the wheel/tyre width you choose will affect how much you can drop, as I found out four up on the way there on Sunday. Rears were rubbing loads.

In my opinion the wheel size sets the car off more so get that sorted first. It's also more wedge out of your pocket and better to get that out of the way first.
