Hi,
I'm new to the cougar comunity and am in the st. louis area (u city), just thought i'd drop a hello here in addition to the one i left in the newbie forum.
But i was wondering if any of you are going to the autoX next sunday (the 13th) i was plannin on takin the old car out till it got totaled, but now i have the cougar and i'm planning to take it out.

Welcome to Gateway NECO.......As far as AutoX??????? I personally won't have a car. It's in the body shop until the 21st. Have fun though.

Tom (sonza68) is our resident autocross expert...he makes it to just about all of them in the area, I think!
Are you interested in CougarFest?? The beach is going to be lots of fun!! :biggrin:

Yup, I plan on being there. Just look for the black Cougar running 68SM. I'll keep an eye out for ya. Are you new to auto-x or were you out there in another car before? Either way, if you haven't found it yet, check out Solo2.Org (http://www.r32.us/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi), it's made up mostly of St. Louis area autoXer's.

BleedBlue, I would be interested in CF but I am more interested in making some money to help pay for stuff on the car before i go back to school where I wont be working.
Sonza, yeah I am new to autoX but I was out at the one on like the june 1st one to check it out a bit, I woulda been there for the 29th, but that was the weekend after my colt got trashed by the river despere, but anyway i am really looking forward to going out there on sunday

I'm not an expert yet, this will only be my 5th event, but here are a few links you should check out.

St. Louis Region basics (http://www.stlsolo.org/siibasics.htm)
You will also need to determine what class you should run in. Are you still stock? If not what mods do have?

Yeah, I read though those a couple of times, probly will do that again on saturday too, but I should be running in G stock from what I have been able to tell since i dont have any mods done to the car yet, but i am definatly looking forward to it
