Just thought I would introduce myself, I'm new to the cougar comunity but not so new at the car comunity.

But I just got a 2000 Cougar, 2.5 Duratec, MTX, all sorts of options i'm not used to like abs, traction control, sunroof, power everything (except the seats).

But my last car(rip) was a 1993 Dodge Colt (AKA Mitsubishi Mirage) that got flooded by a local river, you can see the results of that here

But anyway its good to be here, and its nice to meet all of you.

Welcome to NECO!!! Good choice of cars, and I see you got the V6 manual, so that was also a good choice. If you're planning to mod this is the place to be, there are a lot of people that combined know just about everything there is to know about the Cougar. Feel free to ask questions and search around. Congrats!!!

Start saving your money...cause you know you wanna start modifying it soon
Check some other threads (and use search) for the mods that are usually done first (easiest)...and cheapest.

Welcome and Good Luck

Well, the coug is the Tourlamin(sp) green and I was saving for mods on the other car till it died, so that cash is rolling on over, probly just gonna tint the windows to help keep the car cool in sunny weather and some new tires before i goto school since the stockers are about gone, as for big plans, i've got an idea but i'm goin to keep it quiet till i'm sure it can be pulled off

it seems nice here, on the other boards i goto newbs get ripped a new one, but its mainly cause they dont search or read stickies

LOL, watch yourself. Make sure you either do a search before asking a question, or at least say you did a search before asking a question. Just kidding, this board is pretty tolerant of new people, in fact we like to get new people. Sometimes people can get a little impatient with answering the same question a million times, but please don't hesitate to ask whatever you need to ask. Someone will give you an answer.
