Well, I work at a local dairy queen and after close tonight, a honda civis went by shaking up his can of uncle bens and his little engine kazoo (hitting the limiter with his intake and fartpipe) well, my natural inhibition was to run out while he was at a stop sign and screw out "Shut that piece of (fill in expletive of choice) up!" Well, its a small world... Coming home from work, he's sitting at a red traffic light on a side road, and I drive by him... I hit a red light farther up... well, im minding my own business going 60 and here this riced retard comes up behind me (im estimating 75) and thinks he's gonna do a fly by on me... well, when he moves to the left lane to fly by me, I kick my O/D off and flip down to 2nd and STOMP on my nice lil cougar :-p IMMEDIATELY I already start to match his speed and stay next to him, about 80, I shift to 3rd (with the o/d off) and just dust him. I have my windows down :banghead: and he's about 2 carlengths back when I hear a pssssht sound come from his car... I have no idea what it was, but he gained like, a carlength back and here I am, 90... 100... 110 and he's close 10 11 car lengths back so I gladly go back down to the speed limit feeling the pride of showing him american power (Maybe he thought mine was a 4 banger since I lack the V6 emblem on my trunk? ;) ) BUt anyways, I know I'll get bashed for being the lawbreaker... but sometimes you just gotta show these import drivers that you cant put a farting can of uncle bens and an intake on a car and beat everything! Maybe if he put some zatarains to spice up his mixture he would do better? I dunno.... Stupid ricers! anyway, im out!

ahhhh the hatred is strong in this one
Nice kill

I'm confused he was 2 carlengths back then he gained a car length then you accelerated from 90-110 (20mph)
and he was suddenly 10-11 car lengths back? So he stopped racing and you kept going. Not to sure what the pssshttt
sound was that you heard....but if it was a 35 shot (small shot) on a Civic SI (Manual transmission) with a intake
and muffler he would've beat you.

Im not exactly 100% sure, it was also during my shift so beats me  he probably missed a gear and I just heard a diffent sound, but it was no competition... basically, I was in the powerband the whole time and he stood no chance whatsoever or even a prayer of staying with me. Maybe I should save my gas and only race a car that actually provides some competition? He kept going, because when I slowed back down, he started coming back up on me pretty quick... But who knows... I say him and I got o the local strip and give em a run

nice work. lol show those ricers whats up. I LOVE doing that to civics. Especially those who think their the SHiznit

A 35 shot of nitrous is NOT going to make a early 90s hatchback all of a sudden fast. They have what 90whp? Fast and the Furious "i need NOS"....dont make me laugh.

Ive raced SEVERAL cars which have spray 50-60 shots on me and STILL lost.

Oh, the best part, is sunday night, he pulled up next to me at a traffic light on my way home from work again, and wanted another piece... It had just rained, so he had a decent start and I was just sittin spinning, as soon as I got traction and up to about 4500 RPMs, I was gone... LoL, It was hilarious.... For once my furl pump wasnt acting up! grrrrrr

What I said was a Civic SI with a 35 shot intake and muffler would easily beat a his ATX Cougar
Granted drivers would be about equal that is FACT not F&F BS lol

but if it was a 35 shot (small shot) on a Civic SI (Manual transmission) with a intake
and muffler he would've beat you.

But as I read his original story I see it wasn't an SI which I swear he said it was but whatever
way to hand the lil Ricer his own ass!

Wanna race mine? hehe

lol, there was a SI emblem on it... but then again, typical ricer would stick any sticker or emblem on thinking it'll give em 10 or 15 horsepower.. haha.... Personally, I feel NOS is a cheater's way to win... Someone can feel proud when they beat a car with all motor and not formulated oxygen

Yeah pretty typical
Heh Yeah I used to think Nitrous was kinda like cheating too. But ya know what a win is a win
and I've added all the bolt-ons I can to my engine now it's time to take it a little farther.

i've raced alot of early 90 hatchbacks.. and i've beaten most of them.. there is a couple out there that beat me cuz they had alot more stuff done that i did... the first guy i beat i let him get atleast 2 cars before i took off cuz he said my car was slow and his car was the one w/ balls.. hahaha i dusted him by 2 cars when it was over he said "DUDE UR CAR CANT BE FAST IT DOESNT HAVE A SPOILER!" LMAO everybody laughed he has never shown up to the body shop again..

Oh yes! you absolutely MUST have a spoiler for your front wheel drive (Even though you'll hit your max speed before it can even take effect) damn ricers thinks it adds 50 horsepower at least... lol

Actually a spoiler serves no purpose in a front wheel drive car, at any speed. And can I assume you have no spoiler on your car?

Got the factory one... Just gets in the way looking out the back of the car

I know it doesnt matter...but why.......downforce is downforce(even though street cars dont need them) whether its FWD or RWD.....pleez explain

If it were an 88-91 civic hb then it would have the D16A6 which was 112 hp i think.

If it was a 92-95 civic hb then it would have a D16Z6 and be rated at 125 hp.

Either way unless they have internal work you should kill them. Play with some that have mods other then I/H/E and it is a whole new game. Even nitrous with basic boltons only make that car at most a high 14 second car with a good driver. With just boltons it is still in the mid 15 second range. But if you open up and do some internal work then it is a whole new game. Headwork and raising the cr on them make a hell of a difference. A buddy has one here that is running 8.51 in the 1/8th and he only has I/H/E and Hondata. It is an 85 civic hb with a SOHC VTEC swapped into it.

Good job on the kill BTW. Maybe I will be driving through your area or maybe I will find some cougars in my area to race once I get my 88 civic hb on the road. 1.5 liters of fury!! :P

With a FWD why would you want to put so much downforce on the rear wheels? It is self explanatory. You want to put the most downforce on your drive wheels. With a spoiler you are taking away the downforce needed to push down your front to keep your drive wheels on the ground.

You also have to take into account that almost any spoiler on a low level car is simply cosmetic.

Ever since I had my colon rerouted to my ear, my asshole has been purely cosmetic.

well who hasn't had there fair share of civic run ins. one of my friends got a 93 civic hatch back and it isn't an SI but he says its vtec and we raced from the line twice.( i have an atx 2.5L v6 ) and i blew him away by about 3 or 4 car lengths. he said he missed third. then we raced again and he had me from like 0 to 40 or 45 or so and then i blew him completely away when i hit 50 or so. do you think his is a vtec for real or not. and if it isn't then one of my friends has a mtx 94 civic SI hb and he has an intake and exhaust. what do you think the outcome of that would be from the line and from a roll????????

the old SOHC hondas arent too impressive unless someone has dumped a good bit into it.
