Is there a cat manual?

:confused:When i was in a Ford main dealer picking up yet another fcukin part, i was told there is no Haines manual for the Cougar...Any body know of one and has anyone got a spare,for sale etc?..Thanx guys.....Gary.

Nope, Haynes manual isn't available yet. If you're just looking for help on the mechanical side etc you'll find the mondeo manual will be a great help though.

Slight correction the Haines manual is not available as they no longer produce it for the Cat! :banghead:

No, you're wrong, the Haynes manual has never been produced for the Cougar.

There is a repair manual for the cat I think nthe company who produce it is called Chilton's Ford Contour/Mystique/Cougar 1995-99 Repair Manual and about $16 from amazon.

Try looking on an American site, Haynes manual for 1999 cougar available I know I have one!

PS if you look on e.bay now and then you can get the ford workshop manual for the cougar 1998-2001 on cd

Hi Wessa, I'm a new boy but can offer some info on this; there are relevant books and reader reviews for your perusal at Amazon.com
'Chilton's Ford Contour/Mystique/Cougar 1995-99 repair manual' (Author Chilton. NP ISBN: 0801991056). Haynes did produce a repair manual for the Mercury Cougar but only up until 1996. Hope that's of help.:)
