I'm looking to get a window switch...for my Zex kit.
I've looked at a few, and just wanted to know which one would work with the zex kit, also what window do you guys with them have them at.
I was thinking of 3000rpm-6250rpm??
I know Holley (NOS) makes one, and I know MSD has one too, and others, which one do people have, and what range...
thanks

I use the MSD window switch. I am not very knowledgable on the subject of Zex, but on my NX kit the power wires between the fuel pressure saftey switch and the throttle position switch. The pills I am using are 3500 and 6300. I don't think that you can get them in increments of 50 rpms. Only by 100's in even or odd.
Just a warning for you: I'm not sure what all you have hooked up to the tach signal wire off of the ecu. I have the factory tach of course, the SAFC and the window switch. With out the nitrous system powered up(window switch is off) both the factory tach and the SAFC work fine. With the system on, the SAFC tach stays at zero and the factory tach needle jumps around. When the system is on and spraying the factory tach stays on zero rpms. I haven't figured out a way to fix this and keep all devices operational. Someone once said that there is an rpm signal off of the coil pack, but it gives incorrect readings.

Cool...
I was looking at the NOS one which is made specifically for DIS ignitions. I wonder if this would help. It comes with 3000 and 6000 pills. I need to find out if they have a higher one like 6300...
Thanks

Wow that sucks so when racing at the track or whatever and spraying nitrous you have absolutely no RPM
reading?. Do you just use the sound of your motor to shift? I still look down right at the end of shifts just to
make sure I'm not going to far, when I'm racing. And I've been driving a stick since I was 13.
When I order my window switch do I tell them what range I want and then they set it for me or can you adjust
them when you get it?

RPM activated window switches use RPM pills which are preset. The switch will come with none or bothe pills, and you may need to order others.

I have to shift by feel. Having a 100 shot and running to the end of the window switch setting, it is apparent when the power cuts out. I wish I had a tach. I think I will disconnect the SAFC temporarily and see if that fixes anything.
