Orlando Mod Meet - 7/20

To welcome some of Florida NECO's newest members, there will be a pizza party and mod meet at my place on Sunday, July 20th in southwest Orlando from noon - whenever. :biggrin:

The meet is open to all Florida cougar owners ('99-'02), but due to limited space we must request that you bring no more than one (1) guest and only your cougar, please no additional vehicles. It is also requested that everyone who attends contributes $5 towards food and drink.

Florida NECO t-shirts and decals will be available for purchase during the meet. Decal orders must be paid for in advance, visit flneco.com to order. Also if anyone is interested in paint protection film Wendy will install it for free as long as you pay for the material in advance. Hood only - $75, full kit (stock hood, stock bumper, mirrors) - $150.

After the meet, all are invited to cruise with the cougars and attend a movie at Muvico Pointe*Orlando on International Drive.

Directions to the meet location will be sent via PM or email 3 days prior to event and to positive confirmations only. Directions will not be posted publicly on the Message Boards.

If you have any mods you want help with, plan to bring them along with any necessary tools. I have jacks and ramps if we need them but i don't have much electrical stuff like wiring and switches.

Hey Muprhy, you do realize that the 20th is the last day of Cougarfest, and a number of FLNECO people are going.

Thanks Arthur, I realize we have a few members going but I also know alot of people won't be able to afford to make the trip to CougarFest, especially some of the newer members, so I thought this might give everyone else something to do.

However, if the people attending Fest are interested in this meet, I'd be happy to reschedule it. I just assumed that after Fest, they'll probably want a break from driving and meets for awhile anyway.

Yeah I'll be at Fest that weekend with some of the other members......Not tryin to take over Murphy, cause it's your house and all but what about the 2nd of Aug.....so that way we get a weekend to relax after Fest :shrug: Again, just a suggestion.......If we can reschedule it I'm in....but like Doug said don't reschedule for one or two people....

Sorry guys, August is out of the question for me. After July Wendy and I will be very busy planning a wedding (in Pa where our families are), so we'll probably be scarce until October.

Well I am not making it to Fest so I will be around for any weekend. If you don't reschedule then the 20th is perfect for me and you can count me in.
I have a few things that I defintly need to get done and don't think that I will have time until then.

I'm going to do a dash demo the day of the meet...I'm working on James' (BatCougar) dash this week and he plans on being at the meet so you can see it...If there is anyone interested in having their dash done at the meet I would be glad to do it as the demo...Just PM me and I'll give you the details and we can discuss colors etc...B/c of time I will only be able to do one dash/console but most of you will be secure enuff after the demo to do it yourself.

Hey yall im gonna be there at the meet! i wont have any mods to do there because i will prolly put my new spoiler and tail light covers on before then. This will be my first meet and i cant wait! we need more ppl to come tho ...so far only two people have said theyre comin! :(

Can anyone do a really good neon install(underbody and interior). I have the neons installed already but the wiring is all screwed up. The shop I had do it sucked !!!!!!!!! So I was thinking that I could completly take them off and redo them all together. Will there be anyone there that can do this or help me do this. I have all the right tools and will be brining them with me.

Ok..Who all is going to this for sure...I know Shayne and I are going...He's riding with me...Ummm...BluStreak from Bradenton I know is coming b/c I am doing his dash as a demo...Anyone else coming???...Come on people, I want to do some mods...After working on James's (BatCougar) car for 2 days, I'm excited as hell about doing some more...I know when you see mine you're going to wonder why it looks like it does...lol...Well it's "underconstruction" and some of it I can't talk about :evil:..Anyway...Hope to see some new people there.

Well unfortunatly I will not be making it to this because I am going to be going to Cougarfest. But believe me when I tell you that Fred(phatCat00) does some AWESOME work. I will be posting some pics of what he has done to my car so everyone can see. I will make another post when I have them up.

Yep, we're still on for sunday. KittyCat99 and OhSoFastCougar are also coming and I talked to 2-3 other Orlando people that said they were interested but haven't got a confirmation yet.

I'll PM or email everyone directions around thursday. If you plan on coming and haven't posted here yet, please do so that I can get an accurate count and know who to send directions to.

There may be a problem getting the factory paint by this weekend to do BluStreaks dash..The factory is giving him the run around on delivery...If so, is there anyone who wants there dash done in maybe gunmetal, silver, white, blue, etc....As long as you don't care it's not a factory color I can do just about anything...White Cougars can do any color dash they want...Same with Black Cougars...Just PM me and I'll make sure I get the paint for Sunday....Head lights too.

I have some news about the paint. They said it shipped Tues but it had to go UPS ground because it is considered hazardous material. Hopefully it will get here in time. I also told him that there may be a some members that would consider ordering from him if all went well, we'll see how it gos.

I've gotten several Pms about painting dashes this sunday and I am up to do as many as I can...I can't stay at Murphys all day do to health reasons I can explain Sunday...But I want to get as many done as possible and whatever I cant get too I can promise to get done within the next week or two...I want to let everyone know what I am charging for this...It's really cheap when you break it down...$70 for the entire deal whatever way you decide you want it painted...No matter what color or colors...Dash and Console...Now that includes - (Paint, Sandpaper, Thinner, Towels, Tape, Etc.) It also includes all the labor of taking it apart, cleaning, preping it, priming it, paitning it, clearing it, and putting it back together...It's not a walk int he park but I have done enuff that I have it down pretty good...If you choose to have exact matching factory paint it's going to cost a bit more and take time to order paint...Factory match jobs cost $200 b/c getting the factory match paint costs me a lot more...Most people choose a different color for the dash and headlights anyway to add some contrast...Anyway...I will see everyone Sunday...Thanks

Yea the meet was great. I went just to go get ideas but Fred(Phatcat) was a real nice guy to suggest doing my headlights white. Shayne(8ball) also helped out to paint em. What a bunch of great guys!It was great meeting everyone, hoped more would have showed up but o well. Hope to see all soon!
