I found this amungst many others on car-parts...but this one is close to me.

2002
Engine
Ford Taurus 3.0L,AT,FLR,FACT,DOH C,TSTD,3K 3K 007536 $595

Says it's the duratec, can I take this motor and drop it into my cat? Without any modification to it? Also if some things should be changed please let me know, I've been researching this for a while but have no internal engine knowledge.

I find it VERY hard to beleive that engine is in good condition for that price. a 02 duratec with 3k miles should be at LEAST $1000 if its in good condition.... it has to be damaged somehow...


EDIT i forgot to respond to your question.... yes that engine will work for you just fine. Read the 3.0 faq's....

Exactly...

There is much more to do then simply swapping out engines!!!

READ THE FAQ'S AND THE FACTORY SERVICE MANUALS!!!
