View Full Version : What do we do since the hotel is all booked up?

Well, I know that myself as well as a few others have been shut out of the hotel because it has been overbooked. Does anyone know of any very nearby hotels that we can perhaps get a decent deal at? I really dont feel like sleeping in the parking lot for the 3 days. Hopefully someone knows another nearby hotel that we can use. Thanks

Oh yeah, more than likely, I will need my own room since I am bringing 2 other people with me, so unless 1 person has their own room and is willing to let us take it over:biggrin:, then we may be out of luck. Thanks again guys

The Beach is a huge tourist area so finding a hotel will be no problem.

Thanks a lot Chris. You are a great help.
Basically, I wanted to book something ahead of time to get a cheaper online rate rather than pay more when I get there. So, if anyone knows of anything, please let me know.
Perhaps we can just sleep in the hallway, and borrow someones shower in the morning.

I don't know that area at all but I'd say there are tons of hotels in that area......hell theres probably a Super 8 right across the street or something similiar......

KOA Campground. It's on General Booth in VA Beach.
Close to the hotel....?....there are a few along Northampton Blvd, past SLEEP INN.

Have you checked those places online, like hotels.com or whatever you see advertised all the time?

we have three of us from tampa that are last minute too...me, Rob8100 and BatCougar are all coming...and we just found out today that there are no more rooms....soo...the whole fun last year was being at the hotel with everyone else...not sure it will be the same staying somewhere else...
pablo...i think Rob said he had a place that was not far at all he knew about that is half the price ($50 a night) though i dont know which hotel. i came here hoping there would be a 2nd hotel people were staying at...but he said he will get the info and post something about it later today when he gets a chance...
guess this is the price to pay for procrastinating...

I just left a message with a friend of mine who runs the Town Center Clarion. I'll let you guys know when I get a response. I can tell you that it is going to be very hard to find a room any weekend in July here at the beach. I would call around now and not wait until you get here.

still looking for a good hotel.... The only nice ones that are cheap are up in Hampton. Let us know about the clarion hotel ASAP. I am ready to book anytime!!

I talked to him last night and he said he could probably help you guys out at the rate the others are getting at the sleep inn. Don't hold me to that but I'm sure if he has the rooms he'll do everthing he can. He can only do reservations if you stay three nights. That should not be a problem since everyone will be staying the night of the 17th, 18th, and 19th. If you want to stay longer I'm sure he can do that also. Here (http://www.clarionvirginiabeach.com/) is the website to the Hotel. It is about 5 miles from the beachfront and about 5 miles from the Sleep Inn. They just did 3 million in renovations. It's a very nice Hotel. I am going to start a new topic and need everyone to post in the new topic who needs a hotel and is ready to make reservations. PM me or post if you have any questions.

I have an extra bed at the hotel if anyone is interested. Mary (metalliccougs) and I are the only ones so far in the room.
If you dont' have a hotel room, i am sure you can bring a sleeping bag and pillow and crash on the floor. No cougar buddy will be turned away if they need a place to stay.. at least in my room! :)
