I just joined FL NECO and was wondering where is the best place to look for performance parts in the orlando area. Also, what should I do first? Thanx

If you got an Automatic don't even worry about performance, you will never get out of the 16's so dont even worry :)

But anyway welcome to FL NECO! :) We're a cheery bunch 'round here. ;)

Don't feel bad though I have an I4 so I can't do too much in performance either. Stick to the cosmetic mods.

Actually James, that couldn't be more opposite....theres quite a few things that can be done for the I4 people. Actually MORE then the V6 from what I hear....

BTW...Nastycat Welcome to FLNECO, like Red2K said...we're all pretty "cheery" 'round here.... Maybe try pming Morph, he's the club president and lives in O-Town.....

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ <---------- James has none. But you are right and I know that more things can be done. Just not as cheap or as easy.

welcome!!

we are all cheery yes, if that means sarcastic a$$holes!! or maybe that is just me and a couple other people?? oh well!! hahah

i agree with the performance comments...i was going to start doing some then figured it wasnt worth it for ATX....just make it LOOK fast and drive slow to watch heads turn as you go by (to quote Will Smith: "2 miles an hour so everybody sees you" )

I4 has lots more potential but you cant really just spend a litle at a time like with a v6. Get a cam gear they can net up to 10whp and they are somewhat cheap.

Welcome to Florida NECO Roy!
I just sent you an official welcome email containing various club info and don't forget to make your own cougar profile at CougarDb.com (http://www.cougardb.com) so we can get you all set up.

Since we've gotten 4-5 new members in the Orlando area recently I'm going to try to organize a little meet within the next couple weeks so we can all meet each other and hang out.

I agree that you will be much more satisfied if you focus on cosmetic mods first with the exception of a dual exhaust and maybe an intake. Otherwise, unless you have literally thousands to spend on performance, you will not see significant gains. Cosmetic mods are what turn heads anyway.
I'm familiar with most of the better shops in the area so let me know if you need any recommendations.
