Anyone have a pic of the hood pins installed with the hood OPEN!

I want to see how and where the pins are mounted into the support beam.

I can get you some when I get home puck . Just to let you know I have the style with the round chrome plate with locking cable/pin setup.

Actually if you cant wait, I remember the pins were located in the center of the warning emblems on the support beam.

yup that helps quite a bit actually... i would still like to see more pictures (perhaps from farther away) with the hood open and the pins on the radiator support....

also where are you guys attaching the small cables that hold the cotter pins... (my type of pins is the older style, not like what is pictured).....

Wouldn't it be easier to go to autozone and get those glue-on hood pins?

well if that's what you feel you need for your car go right ahead...

in the meantime i'll use the real ones, and just laugh and throw chicken fried rice at you when you drive by.

I got my hoodpins from Autozone I think, they're functional though. Not just for looks. I too am looking for a guide on this though, haven't installed. :)

I plan on it also.... and yes i'll make sure my pins have locks on them.... (as well as an alarm rigged to the hood)

i originally bought the locking pins, but after opening up the package and reading the instructions it said that they were to be used with the factory latching mechanism... or something like that. seeing as how i wasn't going to have a latch i brought them back and just picked up "standard" (i guess) hood pins (the instructions for these didn't mention needing to be used with the latch). so far i haven't had any issues with anyone tampering with my stuff.... no alarm either. it would be very easy for someone to just come along and swipe one of my pins though. lol.
