I've recently hooked-up with a really good bodyshop guy that wants to get in on the sportcompact scene around my local area. Anyways, he started by giving me REALLY good deals on excellent bodywork for simple promotion at car shows and via word-of-mouth. Anyways, now he's talking about full sponsorship with talks of doing a complete, custom, airbrushed graphical design over my car. He wants to do this while my car is in storage this fall/winter, and take his time doing a really good job.

Although I've seen lots of vinyl graphics on this site, I haven't seen any Cougars with airbrushed graphical designs, especially on silver Cougars. I'm not even sure if it would look right on silver. I find silver looks best when its kept clean... ie. shave door handles and such. Anyways, I'm just looking for opinions, thoughts and pictures if you have them.

I never considered doing this to my car before, but if its for free, why not? :)

I know Kooter has graphics painted on, so does Chuckzilla... might want to PM them, or check their profiles on CougarDB.

silver does look good clean, though if u get the right color, paint would look badass, maybe a blue or something, though u have some red under ur hood already

maybe blue, somethin like the skyline in 2f2f

Yeah, I love the silver/blue sceme as well. A buddy of mine drives a silver spec-v with blue neons.... looks wicked.

I was also thinking graphics in a lighter or darker silver than the stock color... what do you think about that?

I was going to go with a silver and blue color scheme on my car but recently a guy in town with an eclipse put blue graphics on his silver car so I changed my plans altogether. I bought gunmetal wheels and I am going to go with a gunmetal and silver color scheme with gunmetal graphics and my wing (which I should get sometime this week) will be painted gunmetal as well I think it will look pretty good.

Go with the darker silver/gunmetal. Then maybe some outlining/shadowing in darker blue??

See what he's done before and what he's capable of...as far as airbrush work.

I think that a simple design with light gray that fade to a little darker would be great.
