Removing Ford Badge

Can anyone tell me if the Ford badge on the boot just pulls off?

I'd really like to replace it with carbon fibre Cougar emblem sold at :

Willie, to remove the badge follow these steps....

Gently heat up the badge with a hair dryer.
Gently twist it to loosen the adhesive.
Using a length of fishing line, cut through the adhesive round the edge using a "sawing" motion.
Clean off the adhesive residue with surgical spirit or similar.

It will simply pull off but there are three locating holes in the boot lid so if you take it off you will see the holes. If you are getting a new badge then check the size and it should be able to simply cover over the holes that are there.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking on the 3" badge which will hopefully cover the holes.
