View Full Version : Track Days?
:biggrin:Now my Cougar is old (99') and worth no more than £6,000 I've decided I want to have a go at a track day. Anyone had any experience at these and can fill me in? Cheers.:grouphug:

hi i did some quarter mile and top speed runs at elvington air field a few months ago.
It was great fun and i would highly recommend it plus it was only £30
Any one know where I can get details of where these type of events are held?:)

You can do them all at Trax in September. Rolling Road, Sprint Test and take it on the track.

Come on Nard, surely you've heard of Google (http://www.google.co.uk)....
I found these sites, Trax (http://www.traxshows.co.uk) and Race Days (http://www.racedays.co.uk).
:biggrin:Yes I have, but I like to make people feel good by knowing they've done something for me!

There are loads of track days available at most circuits I use my Cougar all the time If you do a search for circuit driver they have a complete listing for all the days and prices , normaly you will be in one of three groups novice, intermediate, and fast, you decide which group and how fast you want to go etc,

Yes a lid is required but other than that not much else, would reccomend light trainers to drive in, Most track days provide ARDS drivers/instructors to sit with you in your car around the circuit and show you the lines, braking points etc, for free once you have paid for your day

dont forget guys if you are going to spank her tyres and brakes will take a battering if you consider how heavy they are! especially if your going to drive it as intended!!!
