Ok I do this on a daily basis and will offer up the following advice. (pardon the yelling but i must drive a point)

DO NOT SAY: "I'M NOT SURE", "I DON'T KNOW", OR ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE.

You must know the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, and HOW LONG.

Who are you going to see? My car club members
What are you going to do? A Car club meet
Where are you going? 1785 Calderwood (and just say YES I know how to get there)
How Long will you be gone? I Will be returning this evening.

DO NOT pull out a map to my house.

If asked do you have money say yes.

Remove your sunglasses before speaking with the customs official.

Have 2 pieces of goverment ID - at least one with a picture OR a valid passport Driver's License, Birth Certificate, Soc Card, etc. Have your ID ready and in hand, for every passenger in the car.

It's really not a hassle to cross, if you can just follow these simple points. Don't be rude and don't be like "look at my car, of course i'm going to a car club meet." Following these rules will get you across without having to pay an extra (sometimes violating) experience in the secondary inspections.

Puck, you forgot the special set of instructions for Brad:

i) Drive to border
ii) Get out of car
iii) Bend over
iv) Become the customs officer's love slave

The most important tip is: stay as far away from me as you possibly can if I happen to be there at the same time as you are. They might see your car and think you're pretty as well.
