transmission swap

i have a 99' cougar with an automatic tranny. What would I need to swap it to a manual transmission and how much would it cost for parts?

Enjoy your ATX, why buy one and then want to change it to MTX - you could have bought that in the first place!:grin

seriously, you never changed you mind about anything? Some people like me bought an atx cougar not realizeing how SLOW the damn thing is and then rode in a mtx and realized a change was in order. After all... its worth about 2 seconds in the 1/4 over an atx....

I don't play golf!! Yes I bought the Cat ATX knowing that it was an ATX because my wife wanted an ATX. I'm not sure what you mean about a 1/4 but I like the get up and go of the ATX from about 40 - 70 - mph. Yes I would like an MTX but the Cat is my wife's and she likes sedate driving!! A porsche however with MTX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
