OK there is a humangus import show at Navy Peir this saturday ( June 28) It starts at 4pm. I really really wanna go since my ride kinda bailed on me. Whoo! Now it's a Real Cougar Meet! (Except for the fact Reagan and Heather Won't be there.. :poke: ) let's see.. if Zip and SVTConcept make it, that makes.. 6 cougars! Maybe we should meet beforehand.. and caravan up there.. It'll be like an IL-Neco Newbie meet!
I'm REALLY wanting the mini caravan, because I'd never find my way there. :)
The idea is where to meet though?

OK I just checked MapQuest And the Best metting place would most likely be the McDonalds bridge on 90. Casue the directions say to take 90/94 to ohio street i'm sure there is probably a better way to go when we actually get into the city but i'll have to check. Other than that I saay Micky D's bridge at like 5:00-5:30 since i don't get off till 4 and i'm not sure how long it'll take me to get up there. Unless i can get a ride (please note whoever is awesome enough to give me a ride will get gass money and i'll pay for parking :) )

im not 2 great with directions, id go if sum1 else could drive there ride along with mine. i live ins treator. if any1 from naperville is going id meet u up at like fox valley.:thumbsup:

Kooter, I live in Plainfield, but I too am not even remotely good with directions. I can follow mapquest alright...
Plainfield is damn close to Naperville, but fox valley would be a drive for me.

I really wished i could make this meet, but i just got put on the DL for my cougar...got knee surgery on tuesday so it'll be tough getting behind the wheel for the ride and can't really bend the knee for that long of a trip...plus im doped up on vikedon lol

hI Guys this is SVTCONCEPT I told everyone about this a while ago. If anyone needs directions ask me. I drive a Taxi in Chicago I know Chicago insideout. There is a problem with meeting at MCD's I would have to backtrack and pay the stupid toll. My friends are coming and riding 4-5 cars (SVTcoug(me),impreza,protoge,skyline,andRX-7) were meeting at my place right off the highway. If you want you guys can meet there. If your meeting at MCD's tell me what time are you leaving so I can find you on the highway. I will warn all of you Parking will be hell the location of this show is not good at all for parking. I need to go study right now for my ASE and BMW STEP program. I will get back to you all tomorrow and lets finalize these plans.
ohhh yeah if you do decide to meet at MCD's I'll be there but which one are you talking about??? the one oasis near the airport???

Hey, if someone goes and takes a camera, could you please get a picture for me? There is going to be a widebody VW there, it will be silver/pewter? in color ( hopefully anyway, the car will be done sometime late tonight) The car is the big project for the shop I work at and I would love to get a picture of it at the show.

OK I'm dumb :) I am assuming there is only 1 oasis on 90 and that is the one by O'Hare. Yes Parking will be hell becasue The Taste of Chicago starts today. If a more suitibale meeting place can be found i'm all for it. I only picked the Oasis cause i thought it would be easy casue u pass it if you take 290 to 90 anyways if a new meeting place is decided on please let me know.

Considering it's tomorrow, and it's too late to make changes, we should keep the meeting place the same. Otherwise, people that don't visit the boards that often will be at the old meeting spot, while we are at the revised spot.. So Let's just keep it the same.
I'm TERRIBLE with directions and landmarks.. so I dunno which oasis this is.. I'm hoping Heather can guide me there alright.. Am I still giving you a ride too Shannon?

Oh, and for those people who do come with us, bring one of those cheap little 2-way radios.. it makes it easier to communicate between cars if we get seperated somehow.

OK this sucks i don"t know if i can go now. I am soooooooooo pissed bout it too. Brian I will call you tommorow to tell you for sure. If i can't go could you possibly stop at my work and i'll give you the copies of the directions and i'll be able to tell ya how to get to the oasis. Stupid crap ARGHHHHHHHH
Have fun guys, gonna sit it out cause I never really knew what Oasis... plus had to pack for vacation. :(
