Fender flares and roof scoop spotted...

I finally got my film developed from this past semester at college. There is a guy that does his own work and has his car another guys civic in primer at the time of the photos. He has flares molded as well as a roof scoop. He just recently got the dragon tail hood. The only thing that I don't care for is the girlie girl "chasing" window sticker. The wheels are 17s and look small in person under the flares.

There is also a girl at school that has a killer looking black cougar with dragon z front kam sides and rear, old style predator hood( I like that more than mine) and some nice wheels, I think she has the mini comando too. I dont have pics of her car though.

It looks like it could be slightly larger, but the pic also looks like the car is on a little bit of an angle. They just make the front of the car look mean though:thumbsup:

I dont know if he is a member or not. I only talked to him like once or twice, and he didn't seem to interested in the board, although he did/does visit. He has PA tags, so maybe the Keystone guys know him. The car used to be melina blue. I don't know what color it will be painted. I am not a big fan of the flares either, but the roof does look cool. He shaved the spoiler antenna. And if i recall, the interior was pretty well ripped out, when I looked. I don't know what all he is planning on doing. I know he has stock UIM and an intake, because I could see in the dragon tail hood:biggrin:

I like the roof scoop but the flares dont go well with the kit.

i like it, id put some different fenders on there though and make them even. ohh how long have you had that film? you got heat exposure on them :tongue:

like the idea alot... but I think bigger rims or wider rims is REALLY needed.... looks like its tucked too much or something.. but regardless seeing it outta primer would make a larger impact...

If rally racing it would provide air circulation for the cabin. On street car it's for cosmetic purposes only. Personally I'm not a big fan of them.

Edit: Also, on some mid-engine cars, they are the intake for the engine.

Well I definitely don't like the scoop. I think that looks stupid. The flares don't look bad but it looks like they are molded to the front bumper. That will be a ***** when he bottoms out. He will have to do a lot of work to replace the front.

I dont like the roofscoop at all. I do however like the fender flares. I just think he needs to raise the back a little bit and put some wider rims and tires on it. It would look hot with wider rims.

Whats wrong with it... it doesnt look BAD, I dont see the need for the roof scoop but fender flares are dope... just need them to be a little smaller, the ones in the back look like they stick out to much, but nice paint and wider rims should fix that.

I had the film since last April or May. Those two pics were taken the last week of school which would have been mid May. The camera then sat in my glove box till All Ford Nationals, the first of June. The wierd thing is that only those two pics have that on them.

ye it normally happenes like that it was on the end of the film wasnt it? i work in a 1hour photo lab with the wally mart here, get to see all kinds of goodies:biggrin:

Don't like the roof scoop but I love the flares I have been thinking about doing flares with the drift kit on my car but I wouldn't mold them to the front bumper.

Theres no purpose in roof scoop just like theres no purpose in ugly hood scoop on our cars.
The car looks ok, with more work would look better.

I like the car and its creativity. The flares are not quite what I had in mind though, maybe a little bit higher and less "flare".

I think it's funny how nobody likes the way the fender flares are bigger on one end, yet the flares on the 350Z are huge in the front but nobody cares about that.
