Hey everyone, its Wendy:wave:
Please let us know in this thread what you did not like about Bash or feel needed improvement. So far, I've already noted the following and I am working on correcting them for next year....
- leaky roof at Pointe*O
- hotel rooms
- movie time confusion
I know some people were unsure about the way we broke up the classes (stock, mild, wild), but there was method behind it and it worked as it was designed to. Please see Murphy's second post in this thread (http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=49&threadid=74931) for further explanation.
Also, please feel free to post new ideas or suggestions (within reason) for CB2004.
Your feedback is appreciated, good or bad, and will help us continually improve Bash. Thank you!

I think the biggest problem was trying to do things together as a group, I think more people wanted to do stuff together but there was such uncertainty and the folks who kinda new their way around would just take off and leave everyone else kinda just wondering around, but then again there is only really so much you can do when we had a schedule like we did, over all it was great, that would be the only thing I would change besides what you already mentioned....

I honestly had a blast.
Somethings I would have liked
-more demonstrations ( maybe mods like gutting precats, IAT mods, etc)
-a dyno or SPL meter on site woulda been great ( but that requires more cash)
- a Rent-A- Model woulda been sweet too.... rent a model for 2 hours and she stands in front of your car and gets everyones attention LOL
thats all i can think of right now :(
IOA kicked ass :)

I thought everything went as smooth as ever. Much better than last year and I am sure next year will be even better.
Couple things to change:
- Just like last year in the last hour and a half of the show everyone was getting bored and restless. It might be a good idea to maybe end it about an hour earlier or start it an hour later, which ever would be better. But on another note if we had demonstrations of Mods(like previously suggested) pre planned and already chosen who was going to do them and what they were going to do. That would be a great time killer!!!! I think everyone would benefit from it. Maybe a month or two before Bash make a list of what mods could be done. Then assign who is going to do them. This would be great
Example: GrandMasterKahn was doing the LED mods in the hotel room, why not do this as a demonstration at Bash, let him do the install and maybe make a little if anyone else wants it done.
- Also, it seemed as though if something was planned (i.e. the dinner) everyone wanted to go and did go. So if we plan some things for the down time before we actually get there and there is caous, I think that everyone would want to go. This doesn't have to be in the hands of Murphy and Wendy, again a month or two before bash we could make a list and have people vote to do those things. Then actually put them on the schedule, that way if everyone wants to go they can, and if not then they can do their thing.
This is just my .02 from being at both of the Bash's.
Otherwise I would keep everything the same, even the location, it was really nice to be inside!!!!!!

Yep....I wouldnt have changed much except the hotel room.......ours was horrid!
Other than that I agree with everyone else....Adrian about the fact that if someone knew where they were going they just kinda left everybody else high and dry.....maybe next year we could have like mini maps, with everything marked ya know? That way if a group heads to dinner or where ever without everybody else the rest of the group could find its way.....
Also with James...I thinkit is just too long....I got kinda restless after a few hours  Maybe I just have a short attn span!
Other than that I think it was the best Cougar event I have been to.....GOOD WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: Oh yeah, one other thing...I would like it better if next year you rode the rides with us at IOA...cause I felt bad handing you all of my $hit saying "Hold this for 20 minutes while we go have fun" :thumbsdn:

VIP passes to IOA or whereever else is decided to go to. I do believe you have to schedule those in advance.

I'd definately have to say mods!!!
Wendy, and Murphy.....of course this just an opinion, take it as a suggestion (then over rule if ya wanna  ) I think quite a few of the outta towners have been to O-Town a few times now.....If its possible, I know it may be hard to arrange cause you guys live in Orlando, but what about havin it somewhere else in the state? Tampa for example  We'd have the beaches, Busch Gardens, etc....... Again, its just an idea, and it gives the people that don't live here a different part of the state to look at.......
And NO I didn't suggest Tampa cause we live here, just cause its really the only other part of the state that I know about

Basically, I had a great time. What I would change was the hotel. It was cruddy as hell, and was a reason why I didnt stay there, along with my illness. I ended up staying at the Castle Hotel on I-drive which was a gorgeous 4-star hotel at 90 bucks for the night. That wasnt too bad in my book for a very classy place. The mods\demonstrations thingy sounds good too. Oh yeah, and next year, I better win that hood.(damn you michelle!:bowdown;)

I had a little beef about the judging and how that went along. There aren't a lot of body kits out there for our cars so a lot of the cars just looked alike so the judging seemed to be around who you know and not how the car looked.

I agree with several people's suggestions. I think the judging could be a little different. I'm not saying who won didn't deserve it, I liked everyone's car and just had a good time.
I do agree with George that it would have been nice to have some kind of SPL deal, but of course I'm a little bias in that area

Okay, thanks everyone, I've got a list of all the comments and I'll work on them for next year. I just want to explain a few points about some of the responses so everyone can understand our perspective on the planning end ....
Hotel - we'll definitely work on a better one for next year, however its is going to cost a little more. We are committed to making CB as cost efficient as possible for you so we will do our best to keep it in the $50 range.
Demos - we had hoped everyone would bring a few mods to work on but I guess we didn't stress that enough. For next year, we'll appoint a Demo Coordinator to plan and arrange demos.
Too long - Bash cannot be any shorter, and would it really be worth everyone's drive if it was? Car shows take at least half a day to execute. There is always a lull before the end of a show because it takes time for the judging results to be tallied. Thats why we held Bash in a facility with a plentitude of other things to do.
SPL - we had an SPL and a Dyno in 2002, no one used the Dyno so they left early which was a tremendous waste of their time and all the effort they went through to set it up. I doubt I'll be able to convince them to come back. I had an SPL planned but they had to cancel at the last minute and I couldn't find another shop to do it on such short notice. I will make sure they are there next year though.
IOA vip passes - I'll see what I can do about better organizing this for next year, we needed a 20 people minimum to get the group discount though and we only had about 13. I wasn't able to get the VIP pass, but fortunately the waits weren't very long. If we can get at least 20 pre-confirmations from everyone next year we should be able to get discounted tickets and possibly a VIP pass for the lines.
Judging - We can't afford to hire independent judges and even if we could, having judges inspect each and every car would make the show several hours longer. The only setback the current system has is when people don't vote honestly. We could make it a rule that you can't vote for yourself, but other than that its a matter of self regulation. Judging is always a touchy subject at car shows and its impossible to please everyone. We'll look into to ways to improve the current system though.
Another City - if someone else wants to take over and plan Bash you can do it in any city, but from a planning standpoint we need to have it in a place we are familiar with and close to. It would cost more to have it anywhere else because we would have to drive there many times, rent a UHaul, pay long distance phone charges, and establish new resources. Tampa is a beautiful city, but consider that everything we did in Orlando was in a 5 mile radius from the hotel.
Rent a Model - we'll look into it.
 Thank you for all your suggestions, we'll do our best to improve what we can.

Street Weapon, Roush, Visteon, Wings West, Kaminari, Razzi, No Limit, Millenium, not mention Aero...There's a lot of kits to choose from considering they don't even make the car anymore...But I do understand what you're saying about the judging...I felt the same last year and realized if you're going to put in a lot of work yourself you better learn to just be satisfied with accomplishing your goal of having a nice car...Not everyone is going to appreciate the hard work you do.
