So I built it to spec and what not. Its solid as hell. But you did not take into account that the Cougars seat (at least mine) moves constantly. All of my video turned out pretty ****ty. I need to make a solid mount off of the rear cross brace.
The video will be posted soon.

:flushed: Well shoot... see what I know.. hey I didn't invent it..
Ahh you were missing the one component.. that I failed to mention... eeek..
Tie down strap, to pull it downward towards the back seats. And another as a fail safe for the camera.
I'll watch the videos.. back to the drawing board.. I can make something else...

Sweet! Sounds good. The strap might help a lot but.. I dunno I even hit the camera with my helmet a couple of times. Might have been that I made the bar to long.
I was thinking something off of the pillars maybe? I dunno. We will see. CougarGt and I have been brainstorming for a while. We will figure out something.

That was off of my st200 stb in the back, The mount wourked really well, but the vantage point really sucked. That bar is stiff as hell.

Hey we used the mount this weekend(check my other post)
I had no problems with the Tie down, on one run my passengers head hit the camera.
he's never autocrossed.. I'll have to teach him the finer art of sitting still... LOL..
Video came out pretty decent.. other than the bumps you would expect..
This is what I used until I ran over it a couple weeks ago, I took a metal bathroom towel rack(1" square aluminum rod). I drilled two holes in it that match the holes for the headrest. I drilled a third hole towards the end of the aluminum rod where I mounted the camera tripod head. That's it. Mount the tripod head using a 1 1/2" screw that matches the thread pattern of your tripod head, slip the headrest thru the holes drilled in the rod and put the headrest back on the car, and your done. I did find out that the holes drilled for the Cougar also match the headrest in my 2002 WRX, so it's somewhat universal.
