Ok heres the deal, about 3 weeks ago I won a bid for some indiglo gauges that I just recieved this past Wednesday. I won the bid from Procarparts, which I sent a money order in for that. Today I got an E-mail from Ebay saying that Im a non-paying bidder warning#1. It says that Procarparts request it to me. My question is dont places like Procarparts have to have the payment before shipping out the item to the buyer? How could I argue this buy sending a money order 3 weeks ago which I thought they had recieved b/c I got the item. There must be a mistake, am I correct?

Contact the seller and see if they can clear it up. Also, if you have the money order stub, give ebay the number that was on that, how much you sent and that seller has sent the item to you after receiving payment.

this is why you need to go with paypal since its all recorded transactions thru your paypal account, ebay, your bank or CC, their paypal and ebay accounts.

actually i just remembered.. you can look up people info so that you can call them or whatever. go to your "leave feedback" link for the seller of this particular item. and select negative feedback. then follow the links to their contact information. and give them a call. im sure it can be cleared up

I just got the same email. I won the auction on the 22nd, last Fri. I got "Lu's" information on Saturday. I bought the M.O. on Tuesday (Remember, Monday was Memorial Day), sent it Wednesday. I'm in Pittsburgh, he's in Cali. I emailed him and literally like 15 minutes later I had a reply, saying it was just a "friendly" reminder. To me, it would be more friendly to email me personally instead of "tattling" to Ebay. :disgust:

Why didn't I use PayPal? Because I recently moved, PayPal can't make my new address a "confirmed" address, even though I have it designated as my "home" address. Procarparts is adamant about sending to a confirmed address only. Why? I have no idea, but Vinz decals, another company I recently bought from, is the same way.

in order to have the address confirmed, they have to validate it against a credit card or bank account that it is your address. just make sure your bank and credit cards have updated addresses and then try to confirm your new home address.

This is done so that the seller is protected... if they ship to an address that isn't verified, then the buyer could say that the address the company shipped to was provided by a fraudulant buyer, and not themselves. By using the confirmed address, there is no issue as to where the package was going.

I understand the reasons why... it's a problem with PayPal. My credit card statements get sent directly to my house, but for some reason PayPal can't verify that.

I'm verified and my shipments go to my house, my creditcard statements go to my PO box..
no rural mail delievery sucks.. UPS knows where I am though :)

As a seller the best buyers are the ones that are in contact with the seller.. and vice versa..
although when an auction ends I send out a request for address(for shipping calc) and I generally
expect a reply within a couple days.
