Hey guys, not new to the boards but dont post often. I have an 00' coug and i have never seen my fog lights on. Its a special edition so obviously it has them. They dont turn on with brights, regular lights, or parking lights, what the hell?? the car only has 26,000 on it. so no way are the burnt out i was going to post this in electrical but didnt want to get flamed for asking over and over, i HAVE used the search button.

it could be a buld... some bulbs just later longer then ohters.. on my old car a bulb went out at 5K
ohter then that, i'm not sure becuase my car didn't come with them, sorry.
but I do think there is something you to do with the light switch, pull it out after you turn it?

Like Mike said, you pull out on the headlight switch to turn the fogs on. BTW, the fogs will turn off when you turn the brights on. It's supposed to be illegal to have more than 4 forward facing white lights on at once, or something like that.
This reminds me of how it took me a few months to realize what O/D did when I pressed it. It was like a hidden turbo charger. :)
Pull the light switch out when your parking lights / headlights are on, brights can't be on though.
If this doesn't work, take it to the shop. Fog lights DEFINATELY make a difference on the cougar for visibility.

hey guys thanks for the tips, i will try the pull out, never knew that! if not will check bulbs and then take it to the dealer is necessary.
