I got two prices today to paint my covers silver frost.
One was for $100 and he said he can't guarantee it won't crack.
The other was for $60 and he said he can't guarantee it against rock chips.
Just wanted to know if these are good prices and also what you guys/girls
have paid?

Peace,

TK

1) Why would it crack? I mean, the taillights don't flex.

2) How would the back of the car get stone chips? Do you do a lot of driving in reverse? J/K!

He meant crack while I'm putting them on.
Yeah I though the stone chip thing was funny too.
Is $60 a good price?

When the guy paints the covers, ask him to add a flex additive to the paint. That will allow you to bend the covers, without cracking the paint. He might charge a few dollars more though. ;)

I still don't think you have to worry about the paint cracking though. I mean, mine were just painted and cleared, and they went on without a single problem. Maybe hes just trying to cover his ass because he doesn't know any better.
