I need all people who are planning on caravaning down with Mass/Conn to post here. With Email addy (PM me if you want to keep it private)
Also, if you are not already signed up on cougarfest.com for our caravan, please do so.
I am trying to set up an Email contact list so i can start with the Details of our trip.
so far:
Meeting Point:
Leows Cinema
220 New Britain Road
Plainville, CT 06062
We Will be leaving there at approximately 9:30 AM
Detailed Route will be posted soon.
FRS Radio's are strongly recomended.
I also need a volunteer to be TailGunner (last person in the pack) Tailgunner must have FRS Radio. Will be in charge of notifying me if we get separated by a red light etc. Will also run blocking to switch lanes on the highway (tail gunner changes lanes first, then as traffic clears ahead of TG, the remainder of the caravan changes lanes)
Leading Caravan: Xerxeese.....Xerxeese@yahoo.com
TailGunner: CougarXR02...........tatatatony@cs.com
Others in Caravan :
FiRe................FiReEyE690@AOL.COM
Dnnyboy33.....dnnyboy33@yahoo.com
almoSTfaST.....csavela@msn.com
2K1FrBlueC2...ch0522@aol.com
Bayeri............. nautica2885@hotmail.com (80% chance of going)
FiRe is in the caravan, but cannot be tailgunner since I don't know where I'm going...lol, i am bad with directions - and the FRS radios... are those the 2-ways that we use on the turnpike and stuff like that?

I'll be there! I'll pick up a radio too! Looking forward to Cougarfest. E-mail me if anyone is interested in signing up for the dyno. It is $40 per run and there are about 10-12 slots left. I will put up a more formal announcement soon. I just wanted to give everyone advanced warning!
Woops! Sorry Jay, dnnyboy33@yahoo.com

Jay, I am of course in and I would love to be tailgunner. I am very good at anticipating lane changes for the group ahead etc. Also I pretty much know how to get there without a map or directions, so if we were separated I would have no problem leading the separated pack till we catch back up with the group. Lemme know. The caravan is your baby after all.

as long as it is "FRS" yes, it will. some have more channels than others. as well as other features. All you will need is a basic type :)
I have a bellsouth 2-mile radio, is 2 miles going to be good enough? or should I upgrade...

K so I got the days off of work, now I just need to come up with $300 for the room (next week) and I'll put down all my registration money. JAY, you still got that radio to lend? i'ma need one
Edit: By the way, Plainville is pretty north of me. You guys will be going right past my exit on 84 (exit 11)... so i'd think it were Super hot if a pack of cougars came rollin' up to meet me in town

yeah, don't worry bout driving way up here to meet up with everyone. that alone would probably be like around a 45 min drive for you? so you and anyone else that is pretty far south of plainville should probably try to meet up in another place to wait for the group.

Ron posted in the Cougarfest forum that he was contempating not going. He would rather go on a family trip to Maine... Many have responded to this post, but no word from Ron yet. The fun factor would definatly be lower if Ann and Ron did not go to Cougarfest. I only met them once, but I had a great time!

We plan on going.............just we asked for ha ha's what folks thought. There is a problem tho. I may have to appear in court on July 17th as a key witness to abuse of an elderly person with demetia. Some b*tch I was training struck the man we were taking care of. She's lucky I didn't deck her. So the wonderful state of MA.........is demanding me to appear in court to tesify, on the stand, July 17th in Boston. We are trying to change the date as I'm totally pissed this is happening when I'm suppose to be on vacation in VA. I'll let you know, when I know.
Keep fingers and toes crossed.........I want to go to Bush Gardens.

Hey people.. are yall leaving on the 17th? if so could we meet up? and maybe meet up with the Jersey Chapter? Jersey is meeting up with the Penn Chapter.
actually what route are you taking? If youre going down the jersey turnpike.. what time would you say you would be passing near exit 13? I need a caravan to jump on.

Does anyone know of a hotel near the meeting point? We are toying with the idea of hanging out in Conn. on Wed. and sleeping over and meeting eveyone in the morning. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
