still I need svt tb..

that UIM is useless to you, it is a plastic 01+ version....you need a 98-00 aluminum one.
go do more research, it doesn't look like you know what your doing....

Some 2000's had plastic ones. Only one you can use is the metal one.

you are right on the money MCON. This guy has ABSOLUTELY no clue about cars. He is going to screw up his car so badly. I tried explaining the whole thing to his like 3 times and he still doesn't get it. NOT PLASTIC !!! :)

if anything, it may be better for you to watch someone do it first or get a ford cd and read up on the install.
all the questions are pretty much answered in the how-to. it just helps to see the parts so you can follow along with it. a how-to with pics would help but it's better to have a feel for what you are doing instead of just "insert tab A into plug B." not to be an ass, but as others have said, read up and study more on it before jumping head on and causing more harm than good.

Puck Puck used the whole 3L engine, which included a black plastic UIM. You are just wanting the the UIM and not the rest of the engine, so you must use an aluminum UIM. I think Puck Puck and I are the only two members with black UIM's. Just to let you know, mine is aluminum with black paint on it.

I am just trying to help. If you are having this much trouble telling the difference between plastic and metal UIM than you probably shouldn't be messing with your car. Your best bet is to PAY somebody to do it or study A LOT MORE. You are going to screw something up and cost yourself hundreds or even thousands of dollars. A car is NOT a toy and if you mess something up it could cost you a ton of money...

, 3.0l ERG tube ----------------------------------what is it look like?
, 2.5L EGR tube --------------------------------- Have I?
, SVT throttle body ----------------------------- I need
SVT throttle body braket --------------------- I need
, A couple feet of 3/8'' rubber fuel line or heater hose ------------------------------------what type do you use?
, 3.0l throttle body (can be done without but ^I ̄ thought it was easier with) ------- I have
My questions are....
what is it look like? what is it? --- 3.0L EGR tube
I already have it? right? --------------- 2.5L EGR tube
where did you got bolts? -------------- 3.0L bolts

1) With the aluminum 3L UIM (as in the pic) what is the diameter of the primary & secondary port openings?
2) Are the primary & secondary runners separate (the entire length) or do the run together until the port opening?

I will answer your second question now and the first one tomorrow. It is one big runner with 2 holes at the end.

The EGR tube is the copper tube that runs from the exhaust manifold to the EGR solenoid. Look for a part that looks similiar to the part you posted the first picture of on your current uim. The pipe that is bolted to it is the 2.5L EGR tube.
I got my bolts from a hardware store. They are metric m6 x 1.00 pitch. I believe the length is somewhere around 65mm. You just need three of those long ones. You can use 3 of your shorter stock ones for the other holes.

ok i have a few additional questions i have a 99 so i want to get the 2000+ lower and then i want tog et a 3.0 98-99 metal upper... any one got any idea how binificial it woudl be for me to have these two port matched together before installing them like take it to a machine shop and have them port the upper as much as they can and then match the lower to it smoothly then woudl i want 19lbs injectors to go with the svt TB right?

the runners on the uim are just one thick tube with two ports on it. you should be able to port it yourself with a dremel and some time. that's what i'm doing currently to mine. and to match it with the larger svt lim b/c i'm one of the early 98s so i have the smaller one.
as for the 19lb injectors, it's best to wait till you get a maf calibrated to it. the svt tb you will have to have anyways as you will need some parts of it for the conversion anyways.

the svt tb is needed regardless but you will have to work with the iac. i'm going to use the 3L tb as i already have it and just take parts off the svt tb.

thanx jojo i am just compileing parts so that i can do this thing right like optimized tb and get the maf set optimized to run bigger injectors adn stuff... i think that is what i need to run the bigger... but ok time to go get 2 new tb's and an an upper and lower intake manifold stupid early engine with the craptacular lower manifold
