great job uridian. You car looks awesome. Hope my conversion turns out that well. I will be going with the 3L UIM though because it is too late in the game to get SVT UIMs at a good price. Good job though. You also have an ATX right?? A few questions
1) Is it any better off the line?
2) Bolt right up?
3) Overall how does it run with the ATX overall compared to the 2.5L
Thanks a ton uridian

i'm sure they'll be a ***** to clean... heh... that's ok, everything else white on my car is a ***** to clean, too... :)
BUT... i finally got the axle and ball joint fixed, and DROVE IT... w0000!
impressions: i of course kept it under 3000rpm and shifted very nicely. no more than 25% throttle, at least for a hundred miles or so (then no more than 3K 50-75% throttle until 750 or more miles), plus i only have 90 octane or so in the car right now, so it pings slightly at more throttle (which my father discovered, despite the fact i told him not to)... gotta burn some more of that off to make more room for 93. that being said, i made it up a pretty steep hill at 25-30mph in 4th gear, still at 25% or less throttle... so there is most certainly plenty more torque going on here.
one problem... my father doesn't know how to drive my car... he drives a pickup and a tractor trailer, and as such he stalled my car twice within a mile of my house. that would be all fine well and good, but the car didn't want to start immediately after he stalled it. it wasn't like it was even trying, either. turn the key and NOTHING happened. then, i let it sit for a few seconds (10-15) and tried again, and i got nothing, then *wrap* and i heard a starter tooth or two jump. i'm wondering if the starter is beginning to bite the big one. could the increase in compression have jolted it and now it's on it's way out, or just can't handle it? we were on a hill one of the times, so we pop started it just fine.

What kind of exhaust do you have. I really think it is nice coming out the side but you really need some tips. It sounds good especially with the 3.0 purrin away.

that USED to be a TruBendz (Yodude) dual, but some hills in North Seattle, and being rear-ended a long time ago really kicked its ass, and i ended up having to scrap the back half of the exhaust. in dire need of SOMETHING, i brought it to Midas and had them bend up a piece of pipe to stick in there. it's too small and it looks like total ass. so i'm going to have a friend of mine replicate it with larger piping (2.75" press bent) and we're gonna fabricate a stainless steel tip to fit very nicely right there...
don't worry, it won't look horrible forever. i have plans. i just haven't had the time or money :)
