Further guaranteeing I will have no Social Security when I'm old, that tax cut passed & will go into effect in July. They don't say how much individual people will get back, but probably something like the $300 like last time. Working till I'm 90. (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,87952,00.html)

OK I know this is a bad position to take, however this would come just in time to help out with my son's school bill. Yeah, I know if I want to gp broke sending them to catholic school, that's my own fault. However you would have to understand how bad the public schools are here. He starts high school in the fall and catholic high school costs more than the local state college. Anyhow half the bill is due at the end of July and it looked like I was going to have to put a few hundred on the credit card. IF we get $300, my credit card will remain debt free. When things get back to normal, I'll throw some more in my IRA to make up for it. ;)

i don't think it only effects retirement money and such.. think about it, bushy boy is looking for re-election and giving money back to people is the way to get good approval... but, what happens when giving back all this money doesn't "kick start the economy"(just like the other one didn't)? bigger deficits..and then cutting back on lots of things a year or 2 later...

i'll take all the money the gov. wants to throw at me, i'm a greedy bastard :)
but it makes you wonder what kind of ppl are running this place when they do things like this...

Well, I didn't vote for him in the begining and I won't vote for him after I get $400 (so I hear from the latest report). I'm sure it won't work for everyone.

What I don't understand is why they don't have a secret Mint that pumps out billions of dollars that they then "announce" as an economic stimulus package every few years? Wouldn't that work better? I see these shows on the History Channel about U.S. Mints 1 Mint can churn out billions in weeks. No one gots ta know.

i always thought of that too... why don't they just print more money?

but then the value of a dollar goes down and all kinds of happy horse sh*t.....

btw, i didn't vote for him either..... i didn't vote at all.

I was under the impression that only people with children receive any kind of a refund. Although I could be wrong ........ as I usually am.
