View Full Version : Can-Am Cruise 2003 - PICTURES!
Well, i'd like to thank Ken for organizing another great event. I had a great time!
I'd also like to thank everyone that came out. It was nice seeing some people I haven't seen in a while, and it was nice to meet some new people. :)
And here is what everyone wants to see, PICTURES! (http://www.torontocougarclub.com/gallery.html).
Enjoy!
Mike
Well it was a perfect day, plenty of sun and not too hot.
I want to thank everyone for coming out, especially Melissa (Chris's fiance) for taking care of me in Angie's absence :) and also Mike and Dan for bringing grills.
For those of you who left early (read: just about everyone), you guys missed out on a new member, Canada's Cougar, stopping by.
And as expected, I got a complete anal raping crossing the border. They made me pull over into one of their garages. Then proceed to tell me that I'm part of a "random" inspection. I just wanted to say "bull****, you're searching me because I don't have seats in my car". But of course I restrained.
They then asked me about 1000 questions regarding where do I live, what street is that off of, where do I work, do you go to school at UB, let me search your wallet, why my seats were gone, whats that big bar/roll cage thing (ST200 bar) is and what does it do, do I race, who was I with, what's the name of the car club, do you have a sticker for the club, how did you meet them, how much have you spent on your car, please pull everything out of your pockets, do you have any hidden compartments in the car, are you still current with your pilot's license, who do you fly for, where do you fly out of, did you acquire anything in Canada or did someone give you anything in Canada, do you have over $1000 on you, how much money do you have, are you the principle driver of the car, do you have anything sharp in your car, sit here while we search your vehicle, ETC...
Ridiculous but I had nothing to hide and apparently they found nothing as I expected.
Anyways I hope everyone had fun cuz I did.

Am I seeing things...
i could swear there is a 350z in this photo. Can_Am_14.JPG (http://www.torontocougarclub.com/Can_Am_14.JPG) (third from last)
Nope, you're not seeing things.
Just so everyone knows, that was a Cougar owner from Georgia who happened to be up here visiting his parents so he borrowed their Z and came with us.

Yeah! It was a great time. The strangest part is that even though it was one year since the last CanAm, it felt like yesterday seeing most of the same people again and getting to know them better. I think MC, TO, Empire Neco chapters together are strong and I am looking forward to seeing everyone at CF2K3 (http://www.cougarfest.com) and Cougar Summer Extravaganza (http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=29&threadid=73278) and finally the annual get together at Hamill's place... that's one event every month ( except June ) from now till the end of the summer basically so we should all have a great time.
Thanks again Ken for a good setup again, I hope I can do as well in my first attempt in August in Windsor. I'm working out some of the final details now and should have it finalized soon.
Anyways, enough chatter, here's the pics from today at CanAm.

You having nothing planned for June why not go to the Ford 100 celebration in Dearborn. That is going to be extremely large and a lot of fun. go to www.ford.com and click on the 100th symbol for more details.

Just wanted to say "thanks", I had a great time.
Ken - Sorry to hear about your experience going back over the border. The guy at the border asked my citizenship, then why I was in Canada. I explained the Can-Am cruise real quick....so he says "they still make these cars?". After another minute of asking me questions about our cars/group, he said "Have a nice day".
