in the car! :) it's just sitting on the mounts for now... nothing is connected, and it started raining a little harder than i wanted to be working in. tomorrow there should be a break in the weather and i'll get most everything connected. tuesday i get a new axle snap ring, pop the axles in, fill all my fluids and do all my bleeding, and hopefully start tuesday night or wednesday. so excited. :)

gauges installed... i know, i know... i didn't have the cash for EGT, and i wanted a nice ricey light show. it will at least tell me if my O2 sensors are still shot. *shrug*

Way to go Uri! Can't wait until you can turn the key and listen to it purr! I bet this thing is going to be a torque monster?

Awesome work URI.
The emotional connection to your car after building the engine is most excellent

most everything is connected now, A/C pump on, belt on, all but 1 coolant line, almost all the electrical connections, clutch line, shifter cables.
but when i went to put in the injectors so i could finish assembling the top of the engine, it turns out that the 24# injectors that come with the late 99 3L don't have the same electrical connectors. so i'm gonna have to splice all the plugs from the 3L harness onto the 2.5L harness. d'oh. i wonder though... could the 99-00 3.0 be on a returnless style fuel system and would that make any difference whatsoever in regards to the injectors, as long as i have the right plugs?
i got the pillar pods from SPMotorsports, actually. it was just easier to get the gauges and the pod from the same place. plus gaugepods.com and spmotorsports.com had them for the same price, and spmotorsports is only a few states away.
you could call it an "emotional" connection... more like "i hate you, you stupid car, and if you don't run i'm gonna push you off a cliff" :) that's what she gets for trying to chop my finger off. :)
ssix: it should be pretty torquey, but not like all the other 3.0's that are being built. no headwork, no svt stuff except intake tract, no tranny work except SVT disc. if i can hit 200fwhp/tq, i'll be more than satisfied. :)
