If this is too last minute thats fine - I just know July is full with Cougarfest - and I would like everyone to try to make the Keystone Camping Trip meet (http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=47&threadid=72902) which is being planned for August.

so that leaves June and Sept. - Im shooting for June.

Im looking at the 14-15??? Please pick a date in the poll.

and lets pick a city??? last year we were in Syracuse - it was fun - but do we want to go there again??? or do we want to hike it out to Darien Lake and go to Six Flags  its a little farther of a drive, but i think it will be a lot more fun!!:)

How many do we need to get a group rate???????

My wedding is the 28th, so that weekend is out. I'm godmother to my niece on the 22nd (another family event on the 21st).

Right now, the 14th is free. We're getting a group rate for a school for 10 people.

As long as we chose a weekend soon. I think I will be cool with anything.
I picked the 28th because it was the one that immediately came to mind as a weekend with nothing planned. But again, I don't care as long as we pick soon. Six Flags sounds cool, I think it would be a fun time.

Later all.

Apparently, the park you met in last time was about a mile from a good friend of mine's house. So - I have no problem going there again.

This is not definite - it was just an idea - id like to make it stick - and if Lori can make it Im shooting for the 14th as well!!

I have season tickets to Watkins Glen International Raceway, and there are events planned for everyone of those weekends, except 6/28 - 6/29. I would prefer one of those two days, but I could probably make it to a meet on the 14th if that is the day everyone picks........

I'm sure Darien Lake would be fun, but it would be kind of a long drive for some of us out on the east. Syracuse is a much better place to meet.

Would this be of interest to people as well????

im going regardless - but would others want to enter or be spectators - then hang out after???

I'd be up for the 15th, maybe the 22nd as well. Syracuse or Darien Lakes is fine with me.

I voted for Darien Lakes, it looks like we'll still be around to go with you all.

Honestly it's not looking to good for me for either of those weekends. I know for a fact now that I can't make it out to Syracuse, too far with too much work scheduled on the weekend plus a grad party. Darien Lakes I can probably squeeze in if we pick a date soon.

If people decide on going out to Darien Lake its going to be June 14th

I might be able to make the Darien Lake meet, but I can't make the Syracuse meet... parents surpise 25th anniversary party on the 22nd...

If it was done in Syracuse last year, why are we doing it all the way out there again this year? I mean, people from much south of Albany arent' going to want to drive all the way out there, are they?

As a side note, I hate roller coasters, so I'm not wasting money on admission to Darrien Lake, as there's not much else besides roller coasters that are "fun".

If the point is for everyone who normally goes to east meets and everyone who normally goes to west meets to get together, how about a more central location? I was thinking COOPERSTOWN? There's a couple beautiful lakes, and it's a really neat/quaint town, particularly in the summer. Does anyone like to go camping? They have fantastic campgrounds - particularly at Glimmerglass Lake. And there's the Baseball Hall of Fame, and for those who like a little bit of culture, the Fenimore House (museum - James Fenimore Cooper, who wrote the Leatherstocking tales - the Last of the Mohicans, the Deer Hunter, etc. grew up there, hence the name "Cooperstown" for those of you who don't know), and the Farmer's Museum (they even grow hops there). If that sounds like a good idea, I'd volunteer into looking into it all, trying to find a good weekend, when there's not 10zillion people going to be there, but we'll all have a good time.

EDIT: Oh, and the Omegang Brewery is in Cooperstown!

I know that my brother LOVES the omegang brewery and I'm sure anyone who drinks beer would love it also.

I think I drove to syracuse in less than 2 hours. That distance is much better than the 5 to buffalo.

There's also a bunch of vineyards around exit 17 of the thruway. Maybe a tour and tasting?
